I could retire early, i have my own RRSP's/401k that i put into monthly. But i have my union pension, sense i started working here at 30, i get absolutely fucked if i retire before i have 30 years of service(60 years old). At 29 years of service(59 years old) i get Z pension. At 30 years of service(60 years old), i get (Z x 1.47) so a huge freaking jump, and it goes up by 3% a year until it caps out at 35 years of service(65 years old). So compounded it is an extra 17% if i stay to 65. But i am working till a minimum of 60.
It feels a bit like Charlie from IASIP, but...the fuck is a pension?? Is that like a penis that spews money, but only when you're old? Man. Sounds nice.
By and large gamers are some of the absolute dumbest fucking people on the planet who know NOTHING outside if the microcosms they enclose themselves into. Imagine their surprise at these glorious tariffs impacting their gaming hobby.
Nintendo had their presentation for their latest console on the 2nd with a debut price of $450 and games ranging from $70 to $80. The console price was a bit high, but within known margins, but the games price caused an uproar since EU prices were €80 to €90 and people are fucking stupid and thought those were the US prices. It's still a big increase. Then the stuff with the tariffs happened a few hours later and now pre-orders are on the off to assess the impact, but we might be looking at price points in the US of $650+ and $90 to $110 at the low end. People are now experiencing the "find out" phase and are not pleased.
Oregon state employees have a pension. Our family is so incredibly lucky that my husband got the job he did, when he did.
It's amazing how much luck can play into your life. If i didn't have a shitty day years back, I never would've looked into getting my own shop and if I didn't have a slumlord owner I never would've bought the building and if I didn't bump into an old employee then I probably wouldn't have sold the biz. Crazy. Same thing with my cancer friend who passed. They had just bought a house about two months before he was diagnosed. He was retired military with a pension that carries onto her and had a hefty military term life insurance that was due to expire this year. She would've been fucked without those two things.
Remind me again how much of the shit that you see in a Wal-Mart is sent over here by them. Because it’s a lot.
I love that Walmart told China that they had to lower their prices because otherwise Walmart would have financial issues. China: “no”
I find it ironic that conservatives bitched about the cost of bullets under Obama, when in the age of Trump a single bullet cost a few trillion dollars.
It really has to suck when your business model is based around buying cheap shit from China and marking it up, and then both China and the US come at you with their own markups before you can even do your markup. Wah Wah
Also the amount of social yelling around individuals doing the same thing who are now SOL is hilarious. I tend not to have much pity for a middle man.
