Tweaking the garage night experience. Got the fog machine working again, and added some more lights for a layered effect.
Y'all follow @Misanthropic 's lead. Garage party time! I hope my years as an elderly person are as active as yours. Tomorrow is the first day of February, which means Sunday is Groundhog's Day. We have had a very mild winter with no snow sticking. I was able to use the hose outside today. Not complaining.... Happy Friday y'all. Have a wonderful weekend!
Elderly?! That same neighbor just texted me that his wife is out this evening, and that we should tap a new keg. I don’t think I can do it. Last night still has me banged up. So yes, I’m getting on in years.
Not sure what time zone you're in, but here it's only 3PM. Plenty of time to rally for a Friday night.
It’s 6pm, dark, and snowing pretty hard right now. Bottle of red wine and killer lasagna and playing with the dog in the snow. Not quite a laser show in the garage, but still doesn’t suck.
6 pm here and the Mrsanthropic and I are going to go to a pub to eat and grab some beer. If she goes to bed early I just may head back to the garage. If so, tomorrow will be rough.
And here the extent of my Friday was a few beers at one of the two fraternal organizations I belong to and then come home. Wife has a migraine because of the weather, so I cooked a quick dinner ( hot dogs and boxed macaroni and cheese ) while slamming down another beer. I switched to a pint-sized Lime Rickey. Literally, a pint glass about 1/3 gin and the rest is ice and Diet 7-Up. I’m thinking one more is in order. Then it’ll likely be watching old music videos on YouTube while she falls asleep again. Yeehaw!
That’s what we call it, “going down the rabbit hole.” Honest to God, if you’d have told a you Walt, 30 years ago, that someday he’d have about any music video he wanted on command, my mind would have exploded. Some nights it’s old TV ads, particularly at Christmas time, but more often than not it’s music videos.
nice. I may be a bit hammered on a Thursday night. Made a killer linguine tonight... sauce cooking all day... super fucking flavourful, with just the right balance of deep/rich tomato, spice, savoury, garlic, meat... which led to a bottle of wine... and then another. And now I'm fucking hammered and ready to go to bed at 9pm, and thinking of calling in sick and tired tomorrow to make it a long weekend.

I had a meeting yesterday morning that was last minute rescheduled to this morning so I've had to be on my best behavior the last two nights. Looking forward to some drinks tonight. I hope there are a few neighbors like @Misanthropic 's in the new neighborhood.
