you might be a bit weak on rb in that second draft if foster isn't fully healthy.

i've had one draft so far with the second tonight.

first was a 12 team. i had the 4th pick.

where do y'all think these guys fall in, as far as draft rounds?

    montee ball
    doug martin
    cj spiller
    ben tate
crabtree/boldin/s. johnson/v. davis (seriously, who's getting the balls in sf?)
    nicks/wayne/hilton (same question)

anyone ever played with a waivers budget? i'm setting up my auction league for work and thought that might be kinda fun.

jprue: in that first draft, i'd see if i could package newton with a rb or wr to upgrade at either other those positions. he's a bit excessively good to hang on to as a backup, and your team lacks top-flight talent at either of those positions.

10 team standard league, snake style draft and i'm picking 9th. qb's get 5 bonus points at 200, 300, and 400 yards. rb's/wr's get 5 at 100, 150 and 200. am i better off trying to get a top tier qb and we with picks 9 and 12, or should i go traditional and get a 2nd level rb?

just so i'm clear, each time they break a barrier they get another 5 points? so if my qb throws for 400 i get 15 points?

Yes, that's correct. Same with if a RB or WR breaks 200 yards.

I'd honestly go for a QB first pick. Manning, Brees, Rivers, Romo.
Second pick I'd make sure to get a WR/Jimmy G.

That's pretty much what I ended up doing. Got a pretty good haul in my mind, we'll see how it all shakes out. But from an early standpoint I'm rosterbating pretty hard on what I ended up with.

    QB:
    Peyton Manning
    Phillip Rivers

    RB:
    Andre Ellington
    Rashad Jennings
    Steven Jackson
    Carlos Hyde
    Mark Ingram

    WR:
    Alshon Jeffery
    Julian Edelman
    Mike Wallace
    Kendall Wright
    Riley Cooper

    TE:
    Jimmy Graham
    Rob Gronkowski

    K:
    Blair Walsh

    Def:
    Arizona

Can you start TEs at the flex? Because having Graham and Gronk is pretty wasteful if not. Even if yes, I still might move one of them to get some top flight RB or WR talent.

Yes, you can start a TE in the flex, but your point is still a valid one. That was actually my thinking when I drafted Gronk. As long as he's halfway productive again, I will be looking to flip him for an upgrade at WR/RB. At the time, his potential upside value was far above any remaining players still left.

    QB: Wilson, RG3
WR: Megatron, B.Marshall, K.Allen, Cordarrelle Patterson, Terrance Williams, Mike Evans
RB: Andre Ellington, Gore, Carlos Hyde, McFadden
    TE: Vernan Davis, Ladarius Green
    K: Dan Bailey
    Def: 49er's

Thoughts? It's only a ten team league which should explain some things. .5 PPR.

I ended up being auto-drafted because I was traveling.

Currently about the only thing I'm wondering about is Andy Dalton is available as a backup QB, and whether to pick up a streaming defense like the Eagles for this week.

    Any thoughts on that?

QB Robert Griffin III, Wsh QB
    RB Marshawn Lynch, Sea RB
    RB Andre Ellington, Ari RB
    WR Jordy Nelson, GB WR
    WR Antonio Brown, Pit WR
    TE Jimmy Graham, NO TE
    FLEX Pierre Garcon, Wsh WR
    D/ST Buccaneers D/ST D/ST
    K Nick Novak, SD K
    Bench Trent Richardson, Ind RB
Bench Reggie Wayne, Ind WR  P
    Bench Bishop Sankey, Ten RB
    Bench Pierre Thomas, NO RB
Bench Wes Welker, Den WR  SSPD
    Bench DeAndre Hopkins, Hou WR
    Bench Chris Ivory, NYJ RB

Your only concern is quarterback, because who knows what to make of RG3 right now. Otherwise, that team is very strong.

Drop RG3 grab Dalton. I'll be the first to say right now, Dalton is going to be top 10 QB this year in fantasy, possibly top 5.

    Proposed trade:

I give Z. Stacy and W. Welker to get P. Garcon and D. Jackson.

My other RBs are Forte, Pierce, L. Miller, M. Ingram. My other WR are M. Floyd, R. Randle, B. Cooks, and D. Amendola.

Thoughts? 12 team league, standard scoring with a few tweaks.

I know a trade rape when I see one, and dude, you are getting HOSED.
Stacy and Forte are your starters, Miller holds your bye weeks and B cooks should be starting and you should snag someone off the waiver wire for either ingram or amendola

What about MJD, Rivers, Antonio Brown for AJ Green, Hyde, and Steve Smith? Current lineup is Cutler, Lacy, Bernard, Nelson, Green, Olsen, Crosby, Cincy, and Bullshit at Flex (Smith, Amendola, Hopkins, Shonn Greene, Terrance Williams).

I'm afraid I'm overreacting to potential weakness at QB since I'm actually high on Cutler, plus MJD is a fucking bum these days. He looked dead last year and will have to hold off Run-DMC and Reese for touches.
