I find myself somber at this time each year. It's like I'm torn, do I talk about where I was and actually try to remember each detail about the things I saw on TV and the events that took place on 9/11 or do I move through my day as if it were just another day? Which is paying the tragedy the "remembrance" it deserves? I don't know. Anyway, talk about it in any way you want but let's pay respect to the effects it had, and still has, on us all.
That damn place is pretty close to where I live. The fallout here is hilarious. There's no way they stay open for more than another month. Local tv did an interview with the owner (who was the lady in that commercial) and she said through tears "we create miracles here!" Yeah lady, it'll be a miracle for you to keep the light on after that. The Internet will never forget.
HuffPo article said she is the owner's daughter. Until that moment, Daddy gave her a store and she got do what she wanted. Oops.
How is this not kidding? How can they have so little tact? Their Facebook page is being evicerated, obviously. Because if it's only thing people love, it's breaking out the pitchforks:
I can only imagine Trump's handlers tackling him to the floor to keep him away from his Twitter account.
Maybe she just hates her daddy. Are they planning a Holocaust sale with shower heads 1/2 off? A Western expansion sale with free blankets (Small pox included!)? The possibilities are endless.
I honestly think it never even crossed her mind there was anything remotely offensive about that commercial. She starts with "What better way to remember 9/11 than with a twin towers sale?" I mean, I can think of about a million better ways to remember. How old do you think she is, 30? She was an entitled teenager when 9/11 happened. You'd have thought, though, that either the person holding the camera or one of those two dudes might've said, "um, boss? Is this a good idea?"
I agree. If you look at their page it looks like she makes them do stupid shit like this all the time.
I don't know that store or that dude at all, but that seems genuine. That's about as good as you can step up and own the screw up.
Yeah, you have to give the guy kudos on that one, he's actually owning the problem and I can certainly respect that.
During Black History Month everything is three fifths of its original price. I wonder how bad that father hates his daughter right now. And if she has any siblings, they're all have a trump card on her now. "Oh yeah, well at least the whole fucking planet doesn't hate us!!"
Fuck that, I was 15 when 9/11 happened and I'm 30 now. If you haven't developed self-awareness by 30 you're in deep trouble.
