You've pitched a TV show based on your life ("It's a show about nothing...") and a network has greenlighted it. Focus: Aside from yourself, who are the other 3-4 main characters in your dramedy, and who would be the cast? Alt. Focus: If the TIB were made into a sitcom, cast some of the members.
The sitcom of my life in my mind has a few characters that are condensed combination characters from people Ive met and known through my life. I mean have some friends that would make decent main characters but added to each some personality traits gathered from various other people would really put them over the top. Alt focus: DixieBandit Ballsack Hotwheelz Shimmered (as the poker playing micro brew drinking stereotypical dream girl nerd writers put in sitcoms). combo Nettdata/toytoy as the cranky but scary hick neighbor.
Might as well cast the ones I've met in person. Audrey (Kat Dennings): Pinkcup (Kristen Bell): Dubya tee eff (Danny Pudi from Community): Nom: ssycko:
I'm casting Nom as Ryan Gosling. There is something calculated about how much he appeals to women that makes me think he is probably a serial killer. If there were a sitcom about my life, I would refuse to participate, because it would mean I have to see the people I don't see more than I already don't see them.
Jesus - trying to cast my life would be interesting I have no idea who'd play me. I'd love to think Ryan Hurst. I'm seeing Betty White and Stephen Fry as my parents. Betty white is a little old - but otherwise they'd be pretty awesome. My boss would almost certainly be Benedict Cumberbatch. The British girlfriend Billie Piper, the other girlfriend Shannon Elizabeth based almost entirely on her performance as Justice in Jay and Silent Bob strike back. My neighbour/best friend - Sarah Silverman. Eliza Dushku as my ex wife, and Christina Cox (the blonde butch lesbian from Better than Chocolat) as her girlfriend. Jason Segel as my beardy adviser, and Kevin Alejandro Picture as the amazing body that means this show is never going to get a family friendly rating. Kaley Cuoco, James Marsters and Lisa Kudrow as recurring extras / other close friends. That said, the only way to pay for that cast would be to rate higher than friends. I don't think my life is likely to rate that well.
