I almost titled the thread, Superbowl Saturday. Are you watching? Who is your pick? I'm over here scrambling. If you see someone at the airport this Saturday having a melt down and throwing duck eggs at TSA, that's me, please don't get it on video. Happy Friday y'all. Be good, or be very good at being bad. @Nettdata has the right idea.
Now I’m going to assume this works because it is very cold there. Even dead winter I won’t even take sushi to go down here.
There is a small mom-and-pop shop in a strip mall that makes the best sushi I've had next to Tokyo and Vancouver. I don't know how they do it, but I'm so glad I found them.
My options for "the big game"* are: 1 - Watch it at home with the wifey. 2- Watch it at a local sports bar and come home at half time. 3- Accept the invite to go to a buddies house to watch it with a bunch of screaming toddlers/kids. *Don't want Nett getting sued over
I love sushi but the low quality, high price, and sketch ethics made me swear off it mostly. There was a place in San Marcos, CA we visited once that was absolutely amazing, and I probably would eat there regularly if I was local. It was (relatively, I mean it's still sushi) inexpensive, locally sourced, and extremely delicious and fresh. Hhhhnnnng
I despise the Eagles, almost as much as I hate the Red Sox. Kansas City please. I shelled out 100 bucks for a SuperBowl box, and my numbers suck - 4 Chiefs and 9 Eagles. This pool has alot of ways to win smaller amounts of money beyond the usual scores at the half and final- score changes, total first downs, total penalties, etc. It keeps things interesting when the game starts to suck. We’ll have a few people over for the first time since 2020. For years we would have a houseful of folks, but taking a few years off alters the dynamic.
Just the ambient temperature moving it. We have great hole in the wall sushi but that is eaten on site. Cold snap here and 64*F. Not eating delivery fish. Wish anything slightly cold would work for delivery here.
I don't have a preference who wins. I usually bet with a friend, so I'll end up rooting for whomever I need to win against her, lol. Probably the Chiefs. It does look like the commercials should be better this year.
I also had sushi but like all sushi in this town it was pretty ok. Toddler also stole all of my gyoza, which did not improve the experience. Overall 6/10 stars.
