Suggest topics that will get moved into circulation if deemed worthy. Basically create a new topic in the Suggestions Thread, following this format: Blah Blah Blah Blah interesting link/story/something more blah blah blah. FOCUS: Main focus. ALT-FOCUS: Alt focus.
To piggyback off Netts comment above, we are more apt to bump a particular thread if: -The topic isnt too abstract or too narrow. The focus should be able to drive a conversation. -Its not a complete circle-jerk where everyone will have the exact same viewpoint (e.g. "What do you think of the Holocaust?", "Do you think pizza is delicious?") Those are extreme examples, but you get the idea. Those type of threads die a quick death. -Conversely, it cant deliberately cause a shit show. The no politics/religion rule stands except for cases where a current event is involved and may have political elements to it, but it cant be something like "Whats up with Islam/Christianity/Jews?" or "Why are Republicans/Democrats/Conservatives/Liberals so stupid?" There hasnt been anything like that suggested in a long time, but its another an extreme example to further illustrate the point. Just suggest a topic that will allow people to tell a good story and we will put it through. Other mods have any other thoughts?
