Meh Im not convinced of the assertion that the police framed this Avery guy. It sounded like they acted improper being involved when there was a conflict of interest. Still doesn't explain away, to even reasonable doubt levels to me, the mountain of evidence against the guy. The defense's theory suggest an unknown person, to the police and the world, intercepted the girl, murdered, dismembered her, burned her corpse, then somehow planted or had the police plant her cremains and her car? I mean it is a pretty huge logical jump from, the simplest solution (he killed her), to an fantastical explanation that is supposed to give a reasonable person 'doubt'. It really goes to show how enthralling a story can be when simple dramatic effect is used deftly. Eerie musical score, solid edited story telling, and simple cliffhanger at the end of each episode.
It's a conspiracy I tells ya. The Montiwaquak police must have been in my house while I was in the shower.
