I wonder if it's a board rendering thing... as when I reply to your comment, it shows up (in the edit window)... but not in the final post... weird. Maybe @Binary can chime in with his thoughts...
It looks like the code that does the thumbnail is choking on it. Probably because it is pointed to a script instead of an actual .gif file.
A lot of people think everything outside the metro area is like Stearns County but that isn't true. Stearns is about as bad as it gets, everywhere else varies depending on where you go. We've actually had a few families move to my area recently from Stearns County because they couldn't fucking stand it anymore. It's a pretty laid back rural lifestyle around here, but it all depends on what you're into.
Just watched the Fox Network remake of Rocky Horror Picture Show. Nobody is ever going to be able to top mid-70's Tim Curry. What a waste of time.
Some things I don't even consider... watching that was one such thing. This whole "let's remake X" from Hollywood is a waste of time, usually.
I just want to second this. I'm from the Iron Range, which is rural, but the culture up there is distinctly different than the rural parts of southern Minnesota which are more agricultural. For example, "Minnesota Nice" doesn't exist up there. If a Ranger thinks you're an asshole, you'll know.
I'm not sure I get the minnesota nice thing, maybe its because I don't pick up on passive aggressiveness, I'm used to normal aggression considering I come from a hockey background and a really fucked up upbringing.
Fortunately I can wear jeans whenever I please, but she is a case study of the passive aggressive, insincere fake smiling professional office type. I used to have a great boss that I actually didn't mind working for and could relate to but then she fired him. In a perfect world I think I'd be moving to a job that is not exactly in an office setting like I am today, it's a world I can handle working in but I don't see it as very sustainable, however I don't really know of what other options I've got locally.
In Texas, authorities recovered "About $90,000" worth of stolen beer. The article said they seized 719 12 packs. That comes out to about $125 a twelver. That's some mighty damn expensive beer.
I have beer sitting in my cellar that sells for ~$50 a bottle. Craft beer is closer to the wine industry than it is to Anheuser-Busch. $10 bottles are still pretty high end. I'm trying to find an article that lists what brands/beer it was.
The Bruery (Black Tuesday), Cigar City(Hunahpu) and Three Floyds (Dark Lord). I used to have a few Cantillions and I was lucky enough to have two bottles of Founders Canadian Breakfast Stout a few years back. Both of those were worth way more than $50. But I drank them. I'm not much into the exotic craft beer scene any more. I used to make it my mission to get the rarest of rare. It was such a rush when you finally tracked something down. But now there are great beers that just sit on the shelf, and you don't have to travel/ line up over night/chase a truck/ trade to get them. I'm much more into canned beer now. For some reason I love taking a Double IPA and chugging it out of can. It tastes amazing, and gets you so drunk, but there is none of the formality. I can also take it to the pool without worrying about glass. My biggest hope in the world right now is that someone starts canning Belgian styles. I can't imagine how much fun it would be to chug a Tripel or a Quad out of a can.
I'm a big fan of the craft cans too, a lot of the breweries around here have been canning from the start and for the most part I don't see why not. For me it's canoeing and fishing that is now even better.
Aw man. My weekend plans were ruined. I think I got bait n switched. I've never heard of bait n switching on shitty used furniture but welcome to Alabama I guess.
Cans are the way to go. More environmentally friendly (not really a concern of mine), more convenient, and make a fuck of a lot less noise when your chucking them out later. I think some people here know how it feels walking with a bag full of clanging class bottles on the way to the trash chute, its not super fun.
