Wait, so people literally wipe their ass with their left hand? I always thought they they used their left hand for TP not that they literally jam their hand in their shit covered ass without it.
This is a bit of a tangent from the Transgender stuff before and could possibly be a thread of it's own. Currently in the Australian Defence force you can get gender reassignment on the taxpayer's dime. It's popped up in the news a bit in recent years for various reasons and so much so that the focus of Defence has more time spent on being an all-inclusive workforce than actually fighting the enemy of the day. We have someone in my section who it's common knowledge that they joined Defence specifically to get the procedure paid for. I work with explosives and aircraft on a daily basis, that requires a sound state of mental health. I'm interested to see what others think of this. Should taxpayers be paying for this? If you're changing gender are you of a mental state where you should have access to explosives? There are probably dozens of other points I've missed but have at it you jackals.
To be clear I have no issues at all with what someone wants to do to their body. The fact that the person in question is lower than a shit stain on the ass end of a swamp donkey is besides the point, I was more curious about what people thought of the mental issues involved and working with explosives/ridiculously expensive aircraft. The way they're justifying it under the medical scheme is that it's not cosmetic surgery but a mental issue.
I'm guessing your assumption here is that someone who is changing gender is doing so because they have some inkling that they'd really like to possess the opposite gender's naughty bits, and not because they have a meaningful medical condition? That's how I interpret "fuck no," anyway. Unless you also think "fuck no" nobody should get therapy or other treatments for conditions that are not immediately life threatening. As to whether they should be handling explosives... well, I think that's probably a lot less about the actual condition in question and more about the associated issues that can present themselves to someone who is deeply unhappy in their own body. Expediting the transition is probably a good way to help solve those issues. In any event, are you suggesting that there are no other people who join the military suffering from other mental conditions? Obviously that's rhetorical, I'm just not sure that this is a significant concern. Do you ban gay people because they're higher risk to be unhappy?
I wasn't saying I thought you had an issue with it, I just wanted to say I have no issue with it, but shouldn't have to pay for it. I think someone it a bit touched for wanting to do that, but it is there body and isn't hurting anybody, so go for it. A girl at my wife's work place got put on light duty because she had a tit job and it was not classified at a cosmetic surgery.
I can see their point. It's not like someone just wants to get a boob job, this is someone who really does have mental issues because their mental context is one gender but their physical body is another. I feel we, as a society, owe it to others in that society to help fix their physical or mental health, as long as it is "required", and not vanity. To fix this particular issue, gender reassignment surgery is required. I say no problem, but until it's fixed, no way they should be put in a position where that could compromise their job. Just look at Wikileaks as a prime example of that... I can't help but think that the gender issues surrounding that situation were exploited or assisted in that release of information. Where I draw the line is when it's done for cosmetic reasons. Want bigger tits? Pay for them yourselves. Are your teeth so fucked up that you can't eat properly? I say cover it. You just want straighter teeth so you can look better? Pay for it. The hard part is that there's no definitive line, that I can see, that delineates "must have" from "nice to have"... it's kind of like porn; "I can't legally define it, but I'll know it when I see it".
I'm sorry, I had a hard time focusing on the content because you kept spelling defense with a 'c'. Foreigners.
I went back to the drawing board. If you gals wore something like this, all bathrooms would need are rope and some stirrups. Look how discreet it is, and... secure.
I was thinking something more industrial. It should be OSHA approved, because no establishment wants to be sued for someone falling into the piss vat. Liability, Charles. You need to cover your own ass.
One of the things that bugs me the most is the fact that the member in question in our section joined up and within less than a year has decided they were lesbian and then transgender. If you have preexisting medical conditions you don't generally get accepted into Defence(It's spelt with a c Furball). That fact that they are rorting the system so horribly just adds to the fact of why they should not be in this job for me.
Interesting fact: there's nobody in the military in any way mentally or emotionally unfit to perform their duties besides people who want gender reassignment surgeries. Also, how fucking awesome is the ADF if everyone in your military works either with explosives or planes? Fuck. Not a single bureaucrat or paper-pusher to be found? Impressive.
This made me think of this: Spoiler Can't we just do that? Beam above piss vat, put hat on, boom! Done. And isn't it amazing how real commercials were back then? Pit stains and all. What about airport bathrooms? Might set some alarms off. You're almost there though.
Anal hooks Yeah, good idea. Encourage him. That won't possibly result in seeing something you regret.
