Children's Aid should be called on parents who give their children bullshit contemporary names just to look cool.
Sorry if this is old news but interesting none the less: Hot girl dresses as Boston Bomber victim, internet upset. In even better news she has posted many nudes online which were quickly tracked down and she has some HUGE titties. Linky to glorious breast. While what she did was tasteless once again internet mob justice I think went way the fuck overboard. You are responsible for your own actions but death threats and virtual intimidation are pushing it way too far.
There are A LOT of pictures there. Thats quite the collection someone was holding onto. Including the one where she spreads her puss. Even Prince Harry didn't get this kind of treatment when he dressed as a nazi for a halloween some years ago. And that is much worse, in my opinion. edit: THATS HER OWN TUMBLR!
When your daughter does that many nude shots on the internet, you know you have utterly failed as a parent. I mean, I can see the dark (maybe psycho) humour in going as a Boston Marathon Bombing victim, but that many titty/ass/puss shots? Daddy issues right there methinks. In other news, I successfully hung my new bedroom curtain (only needed the one, bought two though). It's too long and hangs over my desk but it's better than my old curtains, which were ruined by the cat who thought it would be fun to claw a hole, make it bigger so his head could fit and then clamber through it with his whole body. My curtains were really old and brittle though. Oh well.
It's awful. I hope that her predilection for naked vanity doesn't get lumped in with this awful costume. She is a disgrace to the name of attractive women who like to be naked for no reason everywhere, and her costume should not be held against them.
I read about it a few days ago. Her entire life was ruined. Lynch mobs don't think. They see one thing they dislike and turn into caped hypocrites refusing to out or admit to their own mistakes. I hate her for her costume, but if you're sending death threats to her parents then just plain kill yourself, we are all far better off.
Poor girl. I'm glad the internets and camera phones didn't exist when I was younger and stupider. And anyone who responds with anymore that a cringe at this silly girls antics is a fuckwit who needs to grow up. “It's now very common to hear people say, 'I'm rather offended by that.' As if that gives them certain rights. It's actually nothing more... than a whine. 'I find that offensive.' It has no meaning; it has no purpose; it has no reason to be respected as a phrase. 'I am offended by that.' Well, so fucking what." - The great Mr Fry
Being offended has no actual effect except for what is dreamed up for reaction. It has no point, no endgame. It's as if people think "sticks and stones" is heresy.
Couldn't agree more. I think many forget what a difficult time in your life that 18-22 period can be. You do stupid things. For people my age, the only difference is (for the most part) that stupidity wasn't recorded for posterity. While I never would have done the costume thing, I'm sure I did plenty of equally stupid/insensitive things that are now just part of my history - and not the world's. Thank God for that.
Amen. I cringe thinking back about things I did that I am thankful were not caught on camera and uploaded to Facebook. If they had been, I feel like my mother wouldn't even speak to me. I am still not sure that a few incriminating photos won't show up there someday.
Ughhhhh. I am irritated. Bf's SIL/Princess Pants wants me to stay overnight with her while hubby's out of town. She put me on the spot in front of his family....I agreed to do it 'cause I felt like I didn't have a great excuse and it was, again, on the spot. One of these nights is my bf's birthday (which she's fully aware of), and when I told her I couldn't stay with her that night she tried to give me a hard time. I'm sorry for wanting to spend the night with him on his birthday. I'm so selfish for celebrating with him instead of jumping at the chance to babysit your ass. What a baby. If I ever act like this, somebody please slap me.
See, I'm of the opposite mindset. While I personally wouldn't go out of my way to threaten her or find out where her family lives, I have zero sympathy for her. She's an adult who acted like a fuckwad and now is facing severe consequences. A couple of things. First off, this girl seems to be pretty social media savvy. Hell, at this point if you use the internet in any capacity you have to know how things like this can quickly spiral out of control. Had someone taken the photo without her permission and put it up I may feel bad, but she made it public herself. Also, she had to go through the thought process over time of picking out her costume, wearing it out (because let's face it, you wear a costume to show other people. Nobody makes an original costume to sit alone in a room), then sharing it with the world. What did she expect, a whole lot of likes and praise? Secondly, I keep hearing the whole "well we all did stupid things when we were young" argument, which may or may not be true. While I've had my share of drunken idiocy, I don't recall having done anything quite this heartless. Also, she's 22. She's not a child. At some point we have to keep excusing idiocy under the excuse of youth. It seems that more and more adults are somehow using college as an extended adolescence and somehow expect society as a whole to put up with their stupidity because they're still "young". But that's another tangent for another time. Again, does she "deserve" any of what she's getting? Maybe, maybe not. I do feel bad for her parents who shouldn't be dragged into this, and I hope nothing occurs outside of keyboard warriors working themselves into a frenzy. But I see this as if someone decided to throw on an armani suit, a Rolex and walked down a dangerous neighborhood in Detroit at 3 am. Do you deserve to get mugged? Of course not. But I'm certainly not going to shed any tears if you do.
FreeCorps with an excellent badboy image play in hopes that she stumbles across the discussion of her here and sends him some personalized shots. Tip of the hat to you, you dog.
I'm just amazed at how many people there are on the internet who's sole purpose appears to be to find things to complain about and get offended by. My thoughts exactly. What she did was douchey, but if you aren't in any way connected to any of the victims and feel seriously outraged by this maybe it says more about you than her. Of course, FreeCorps has a point too. Still, I just can't see how people get so upset over these things.
