Watched 'Trainwreck' - I'd say it was decent. In other news, my eyesight is getting worse. Getting old sucks.
I have 20/10 vision for distance. Up close, I'm fucked. My reading glasses are becoming my constant companion. I'm also starting to regret buying such a small parcel of property. As much as I fell in love with the property I bought, it's only 3+ acres. I'm used to 30 acres or more. I may have to talk to my neighboring property owners about selling, because there is no way 3 acres will contain my own particular brand of insanity.
I had lasik done about ten years ago, does not matter, I'll need reading glasses at some point. I am not looking forward to that day, a day drawn even closer because of how much computer work I do now. Fuck getting older.
I have close to 20/10 vision close and far. That's better than perfect. Because my job works in micrometers actually requires you to have a minimum 20/20 vision because screw-ups are so costly. I also have a condition called iritis where bright direct light can sometimes send bolts of pain behind eyes that feel like teeny tiny eagle talons are mashing them over and over. When outside I wear sunglasses and hats often. It makes you look like shit too, like you're developing pinkeye. I'm sure I'll end up with glasses eventually since my parents wore them at 45 and every single person in my family dead or alive wears/wore them including everyone in my wife's family and my daughter. I am surrounded on all sides by blind fucking bats.
I'm pretty sure staring at a computer caused my eyes to go south. My long distance vision is still above average, but anything up close I need glasses for. In other news, y'all are probably aware of my collecting old baseball cards. Way back when, card companies also put out "Pin Up" cards during WWII. Apparently our grandfathers/great grandfathers found these quite arousing. I'm thinking it'd be cool to own a set of these cards as an investment.
I wouldn't be surprised if at least one of my grandfathers jerked off to those under heavy artillery at some point. That's how you work.
Just saw the movie "The 33." This is the one made with the consent and direction of the actual miners. In short, incredible movie. There were a lot of details they had to leave out for the obvious sake of keeping it movie-length, but nothing of major significance. Did an amazing job of letting the truth be stranger than fiction and the story tell itself. Very glad they focused on the actual timeline of events rather than try to make some crappy love story out of it like they do with most "based on a true story" shit shows. I can't find the original chilean miner thread on this board, but if someone with better search voodoo than me could did it up I think that'd be a cool re-read.
Spoiler: UFC spoiler Wow, good for Holly Holm. She knocked Rousey the hell out, brutal kick to the chops.
Because you weren't going to read/watch ESPN, log into Twitter or Facebook, read Deadspin, listen to the radio today? I am in the doghouse today, my wife informed me that we were going to church today so she could show off the baby to her church friends, my attendance was somehow needed for this. Sadly since today isn't Easter or Christmas I informed her that I wouldn't be going.
Precisely that. I use 0 zero of those things. I have the fight downloaded and was avoiding news media until I watched it, I THOUGHT THIS PLACE WAS SAFE YOU FUCKING FUCKERS!!!! Seriously though I don't really care that much. I'm just a little butthurt because the same happened with the last 3 fights by me going non news/non sports fights where I didn't expect spoilers before I had a chance to watch them the next night (I'm too lame to stay up late enough to watch them live),
And you have to wonder for how long. He's slept around quite a bit, I bet half of hollywood is shitting bricks.
That's a wrap! It's about time he stands for something positive. We should have sheen this coming. The show was called "Two and a Half MEN" after all.
