Good win for Serbia. Slovenia are playing well, a good goal scored too. They've had a much better start than the US. I can't help but look at this game and see that a Slovenia win paves the way for an easy England qualification.
I don't like this Slovenian player who looks like Crispin Glover. I keep expecting him to climb a tree and peep into some chick's window.
Did the refs have a meeting this morning and decide to try and fuck up today's games? First Germany, and now the USA getting absolutely jobbed.
I don't know who scored that disallowed goal, but he was really unlucky to get whistled back. The guy was totally on-side and should've capped off a great comeback. Instead USA got the first big refereeing error of the tournament. About Germany: let me start off by saying I'm Dutch, so I'm generally not overtly sympathetic towards Germans. But Klose screwed it up and has only himself to blame. A striker shouldn't commit such a stupid foul in the centre of the field. He should've controlled himself after his first yellow, but instead he fucked it all up for himself and his team. I can understand it when a midfielder or a defender get's a second yellow, because they keep on getting involved in the physical parts of the match. But a striker, certainly one with Klose's experience, shouldn't got himself a second yelllow.
If anything you could've given a penalty for all the holding going on by Slovenia. But no way it should have been chalked off. USA have been robbed 2 points.
That was an absolute travesty, that's all I can say. If I elaborate any more, I may break my monitor.
What the fuck was that? Three guys were being held AND they waved off the goal? That's bullshit. That ref is fucking unbelievable. So I guess we're big fans of Algeria now, right?
Until we play them. Most likely scenario for us to move on. England beats Algeria England beats Slovenia We beat Algeria
That would put: England: 7 USA: 5 Slovenia: 4 Algeria: 0 We wouldn't need the goal differential. You may be thinking of: England betas Algeria, England ties Slovenia, USA throttles Algeria. That would put England, USA and Slovenia all at 5, and USA would advance on goal differential.
Yeah, I realized that and edited it. I was doing math during the game and screwed up. I think I was thinking that if England tied Slovenia and beat Algeria.
That Germany game was a travesty in every way. I hope they destroy Ghana. Props to the Serbs, they were great.
And if the US beats Algeria by more than England beats them, and at least 2-0, we would actually win the group. And as fucking furious as I am at the officiating, if we actually show up for the first 15 minutes of the match, it wouldn't even get to that point. As much as the US seems to do well playing from behind, could it hurt to actually score the early goal?
I only ever watch soccer during the World Cup. Therefore I hardly consider myself an expert, but the officiating I have seen has been terrible. I watched both US games, Portugal vs. IC and the Spain match, and they all seemed to have sub par officiating. Is this normal? (I guess I'm asking our international members, the real "Football" fans) to have such terrible calls? Do calls get missed and blown like this all the time? Or because of The World Cup requiring so many ref's did they have to contact Major League Baseball to help them out??
