Actually I think they last won in 2008 and lost last year in like the semis. But kind of a crazy end to the game. It was entertaining.

Gotta wonder how having a month off is going to affect Cam Newton and the rest of the Auburn team. I think they are quite undisciplined, so I can see them going into the game out of shape. I'm not saying that will actually happen, but it wouldn't surprise me. The Ducks will be ready to go, that's for sure.

Call it, the downfall of one of modern college football's finest quarterbacks in the wake of his Heisman-trophy winning season on the cusp of a championship will be spending too much time on the couch.

LOL. If I remember correctly, that's what Troy Smith blamed the 2007 NC loss to Florida on. He said he got out of shape from stuffing his face at the awards banquets.

I don't think it was true, since the Gators were clearly the better team, but a lot people bought it.

This thought of mine also came from watching that ESPN 30 for 30 documentary on Marcus Dupree. He was out of shape for his bowl game in 1983, and Barry Switzer pretty much blamed the loss on him, even though Dupree gained 245 yards on 19 carries.

So, it looks like Randy Edsall is off to Maryland. He told no one--not his players, not his assistant coaches...no one. Apparently he wasn't on the charter plane home from the Fiesta Bowl and instead flew to MD with his family to meet with his new school. The article says he will be officially announced as the new coach this afternoon at 2.

For a guy who built such a successful program from scratch in the past 8 years to leave it at it's highest point just doesn't make sense to me. He was making great money and he had a whole athletics program supporting him, as well as the entire student body. Now we're left with no coach, and just in time for the recruiting season.

A month ago, when rumors were floating around about other schools showing interest, he said that he was happy at UConn. I guess he was full of shit.

I dunno about the rest of you but I watched that TCU game and think it was the best bowl game so far.

Whoops. I had never clicked that thread because my 2.2 second attention span never read the entire thing. I have thought since it went up that it was odd we had a pro bowling thread though. I am being 100% serious. I think I need to slow down and learn how to read.

So what do you all think about this:

Les Miles to Michigan. Bo Pelini to LSU.

    In the next 48 hours?

Might be some more bad news for Boise State. Chris Petersen has spoken to Stanford about the head coaching position. This is according to a CSN Bay Area report.

FSU, best recruiting class in the nation, go go Jimbo!

Now to see if it translates on the field.
