I hope you're right. It shouldn't matter at all that Boise St. doesn't have the historical or nostalgic presence that teams such as Alabama possess. It should be about putting the two best teams in the national championship game. It seems to me many people don't want to give Boise St. the credit it deserves because they're not used to the idea of the Broncos actually winning it all.
I'm not being confrontational when I state the following, but how can I not honestly believe Boise St. could defeat Mississippi St.? From what I've seen out of Boise St., I think it could beat anyone. The only team I think is better than the Broncos is Oregon. This is an honest question: Have you seen Boise St. play? If you have, what makes you believe the Broncos would lose to Mississippi St.? If you haven't seen Boise St. play, let me just tell you that it isn't the equivalent of the 2007 Hawaii team that got crushed by Georgia in the BCS bowl game. The Broncos are a complete team and very well coached.
Another week, another dropped #1 team...I never thought I would see Oklahoma lose to Mizzou. In fact I was rolling my eyes at College GameDay going there. Missouri....class of the Big 12. Wow. Play of the week: Cam Newton sprints for 50 This kid is going to win the Heisman this year, right after Ingram did it for his rival school Bama. He is everything Terrelle Pryor was expected to be.
Boise State against Louisiana Tech tonight at 8 eastern, 5 pacific time on one of the ESPNs. I believe ESPN2. Something to watch if you are like me and it is just a bit early for the NBA.
http://www.955thegame.com/play_window.php?audioType=Episode&audioId=4979894 This guy calls into the sports station I listen to and goes on a huge rant against pac-10 football. Around the half way mark he starts bringing up the fact that oregon players don't have biblical names and the NFL couldn't hang with the SEC. Pretty much everything I hate about people that rep way too hard.
Two really good games right now. My money says both undefeated teams will lose, but both games should be close. However, if either Missouri or Michigan St wins today, running the table becomes way, way easier.
Missouri is playing like dog shit. They don't deserve their ranking and after an awesome win against OU, the shame for my old Alma Mater is back.
Iowa is taking their frustrations from the shitty final 4 or so minutes of the Wisconsin game out on Michigan State today. That first half was a display of utter domination over the Spartans. I just hope Ferentz keeps his foot on the gas pedal for the 2nd half. I loved watching the domination and the creative, unleashed play by the Hawkeyes. If you weren't watching that first half, you missed some REALLY good football.
I liked the part where Iowa had more interception return yards than Cousins had passing yards in the first half. oops. a bit off on that one.
I liked the part where Dantonio - a man of "faith" and "class" and "good midwestern values" put Chris Rucker, a corner, in the game in the second quarter. Where was Chris Rucker the previous day? Not with the team. Why wasn't he with the team? Because he was in fucking prison, that's why. I defy any fucking college football fan to show me a situation where a player that just got released from prison serve essentially ZERO punishment and jump back into uniform the next day. Chip Kelly made LaMichael James sit out a game. Rich Rod kicked Boubacar Cissoko off the team. Even URBAN MEYER fucking disciplines his players to a degree. Jesus Christ, the level of shrill bitching to come out of the Detroit Free Press if RICH ROD did that would make Ann Arbor split in half. This is hardly the first incident the Spartans have had (dorm brawl, party brawl, Glenn Winston getting reinstated to MSU as well), this isn't the first incident even RUCKER has had. But Dantonio gets the media steady rubbbing his nuts cause he loves Jesus. Okay.
I'm still watching the game to see how many stupid mistakes we make and to watch our annual fall apart. It's entertaining actually.
I thought it was funny how Spartan fans were trying to argue that Dantonio's "zero tolerance policy" actually meant something other than ZERO TOLERANCE. I don't understand how anybody could think there's more than one interpretation of the term 'Zero Tolerance"
HAHAAHAHHAHA KELLY BLOWS A GAME AT THE LAST SECOND FOR ND!! Why the FUCK do you throw the ball in chip shot field goal range?
What a game USC and Oregon are playing, what a game Air Force and Utah are having. No doubt I have got to get a second television hooked up in the living room.
And Michigan just lost to a team with fucking Rudy at quarterback. Goodbye Rich Rodriguez, it was nice knowing you, but hopefully your successor will know how to field a competent fucking defense. And get us to bowls.
At least I have an excuse for Notre Dame football being painful to watch now. Dane Crist gone for the season. Hopefully Brian Kelly and his horrible offense goes away sooner than later. What is up with all of these teams that want to run plays as fast as possible? Don't they realize that if they slowed down they could actually rest their defenses and not have to score 40+ points every game just to be in it.
Can anyone stop Oregon? I thought they looked awful impressive against USC Saturday night. They have Washington, Cal, Arizona and Oregon State left. I cannot see Washington or Arizona beating Oregon in Eugene. Oregon State might have a chance. Cal has Oregon at home but I just do not think they have the speed to attack Oregon's offence. It looks like we finally may have an SEC Pac 10 game that the SEC cannot duck. (pun intended)
Its college ball anything can happen. But I do believe that Oregon St. is the only competition left on our schedule. I laughed when USC said we were only a 2 man team we really did prove that we have a passing game equal to our rushing game. I just wish we would stop passing to our TE Paulson #42 he is the worst catcher, he couldn't catch aids if was fucked Magic Johnson with open wounds on his dick.
*Rocks back and forth while mumbling "Oregon is who we're supposed to be, Oregon is who we're supposed to be" *
