Favre, is a douche. But all these players see is a colors on a jersey. The NFL likes to hype up these rivalries to increase interest. But all fans have to accept that their team's players don't really give two shits about their team. They would all stand shoulder to shoulder in the event of a union strike, would they not? With that said, a lot of fans do and Brett Favre is a douche. He signed with the Vikings to give a big fuck you to Green Bay. I don't think it's unreasonable for them to give it right back. Brett Favre was Green Bay. He then walked out because he's an entitle bitch. I can see how you can respect his accomplishments; he has accomplished many things. But I don't know who would like him as a person. Just because South Park didn't a scientific experiment that concluded men with a lot of money cheat on their wives doesn't make it right. That's just in addition to everything else. Anyways, I'm just glad we're almost done with this. Hopefully with all these odds stacked against him, this really will be Brett's last season (assuming last night wasn't his final game*). I'm just hoping he'll step out of the spotlight and everyone will stop talking about him. He was one of the greatest QBs to ever play the game. But now it's time for him to stand down. *I'm hoping it was. Not because I wish him a career ending injury. That's a horrible thing to wish on someone no matter what. But it would be ironic and perfectly encapsulate what the end of his career really was for the rest of history.
Let me go back and clarify. What I really meant to say was moot to attack the guy for his personal shit. I never said it was right, but what's the point of attacking him for shit a lot of people do? Its like yelling at one person for public urination. Everything else, I agree wholeheartedly with. Anyway, that was my point, stupid as it could be / is. According to ESPN this morning signs are learning towards Brett Playing. I find this from the team doctor pretty indicative of what is going to happen: In the same article they're talking about closing the probe, because as I've been saying since the beginning Jenn Sterger is not going to kill her sports career by killing a legend. I'll also go on to bet that Farve will play until he dies at the end of the season. They're going to be shit with a broken Farve, they're going to be shit with a healthy Tavaris. Either way, they're shit unless Adrian Peterson gets on a-whole-nother level of God Mode. I doubt Childress has the balls to end Farve's career either. This shit is going to get ugly. Speaking of ugly...HOW BOUT DEM COWBOYS? The are triple fucked sideways. Jerry Jones has to be sacrificing newborns at this point for wins.
To me, this sounds like "Let's not give this guy a speeding ticket, because lots of people do it anyway" The way it should be is "Let's stop talking about this because who gives a shit what he (or Tiger Woods, or anyone else) does in his personal time"
On 1 am Sportscenter the verdict was against Favre. But Favre has come back from a lot of shit. Every time you think the deck is stacked against the guy cashes in on another life. So yeah, I wouldn't be surprised to see him start as early as this week. But damn, to make his last start of his career at lambeau field in a Vikings number 4 jersey would be a sweet end (in my eyes).
Huh. Imagine that, a broken bone the direct result of a....say it with me now, legal hit. What a bunch of crap. The Cowboys may as well count this one as done. As for the Favre shit, opinions will differ as they always have when it comes to him. I respect the guy for everything he has done on the field. He is part of why I love football so much. If he cheated (we all know if it wasn't with her it would be someone else), yes he's a cheater and that's a terrible thing to do to your family however, lets count the number of superstar athletes who have been busted over the years. Yeah, too many to count. Of course it doesn't make it right. I would never say it does, what I am saying is the flames of the "scandal" are being fanned because of all the other shit he's done career wise to gain such hate from the public and fans. Lets not fool ourselves be denying that. All the fans out there that curled their lip at the mention of his name prior to this coming out are now shouting their hatred from the rooftops because "it's the right thing to do, you should hate him too, how can you still like him? Now he's a bigger POS.....blah blah blah." I will say this much, he should have never come back this year. Not only will he be broken it very well may be one of his worst seasons. And that is how he'll go out, never mind all the other stuff. That's just icing on the cake. In closing I'd just like to say to the Bears, we're nipping at your heels, pay attention.
Does anybody else find it amusing that at 2-5 the chargers are number 1 in both total offense AND total defense? How do you put that together and maintain such a shitty record? It'll be pretty funny if the trend continues and they finish 5-11. Doubt it happens though.
It is unbelievable. Take a look at the power rankings. http://espn.go.com/nfl/powerrankings I know every team can have a fluke but Atlanta got killed by a subpar Eagle team so i don't expect much from them. In my opinion the verdict is still out on the Pats as well, not much defense and I don't think Branch is any kind of replacement for Moss now matter how long he played with Tom Brady. The whole NFC is miserable having Atlanta over the Colts makes no sense regardless of injuries. I think it should be 1. Pitt 2. Jets 3. Colts
I agree that Norv Turner is responsible for lots of the shit, but some of the stuff you just can't coach. Like that dumbass rookie who put the ball on the field after his catch... The real reason they're losing is special teams. Their special teams have been the cruelest of jokes since game one.
Probably because Norv Turner has been brain-dead ever since he became a head coach. I'm doing cartwheels right now. Even though the NFC West is shitty, someone has to climb to the top of Turd Mountain and I'm glad it's the Seahawks. 5th ranked scoring defense? Check. 2nd easiest strength of schedule? Check. Plus turnover differential? Check. BEAST MODE? Check. Amazing home field advantage? Check and check. I can't believe I'm saying this, but Seattle has a chance for a home playoff game. Everybody that's ignoring Seattle can eat a warm sack of cock.
This comes after officials agreed he was right about atleast one of the calls. I'm not sure what the fuck is going on with the refs this season but there have been some really REALLY bad calls and missed calls. This may be a stupid question but, where does the fine money go? EDIT: Obviously I had no idea.
Some of the four calls discussed in that article are excusable, because that's why they have instant replay. What is inexcusable is getting a call wrong after replay. As for the actual bad calls (read: Terrible rule/terrible interpretation of a bad rule), did anyone see the end of the Miami and Pittsburgh game? That rule is about as dumb as the Calvin Johnson rule from week 1. Cost Miami the game.
I thought it helped pay for Farve's cell phone bill. Unless he has the sprint unlimited plan it must get pricey constantly texting pictures of your cock to female reporters, fans, public relations women, shegirl, waitresses, hostesses, ect.
Simmons on his podcast was critiquing Gruden's coverage of the MNF game saying that he was talking his way into being the next Coach of the Cowboys. There are only 3 good coaches at home. Tony doesn't want to coach, he's loving NBC. Cowher hasn't seen an offer he's liked, and you know Gruden has that enthusiasm that Jerry Jones is probably dying for right now. It'll be interesting.
As long as he's out of the booth. I cannot stand him up there, constantly fucking yapping and waving his little hands all over the place. Shut up once in a while and hold still, your little stump arms are distracting.
Nfl referees meeting to try to prevent future mistakes. It's about time they did this after all the poor calls this season. Aside from the calls last week I hope they can get better consistency on pass interference and roughing the passer. Plus, they elaborated on the Childress fine. This is a joke. Ok, when the refs make bad calls that are potentially costing his team wins, how does he not have the right to criticize? If you don't want people being critical, stop fucking your job up. As for this being a 'confidential conversation' it's not as if there was anything said that people weren't already talking about anyway. With regards to personal information about players, or future changes in league policies officials don't want going public, I get the necessity to keep it quiet, but if I was Childress I would have done the same thing here. It's a small fine, but still absurd.
How arrogant do you have to be to fake punt on 4th and 18 from your own 20? The jets defense held the packers out of the end zone, but I'll take the free points.
