The Packers count, but his performance was far from dominant.

Green Bay no longer owns the Packers. Julius Peppers owns the Packers.

I'm sorry, who won that game?

Granted, Green Bay pretty much GAVE it to Chicago with all those penalties, but still...

Packers gift wrapped that. I had a bet with beers and a toast to the winning team with a die-hard Packers fan. But the game was over when "HESTER GOT WHEELS!" I knew the game was magical. Man, if I was McCarthy, I'd just make the whole team sit in the room and rewatch the game in complete silence. No amount of yelling can get the point across. I mean he might as well start off with "I'm not angry, I'm just disappointed in you guys."

I mean who the fuck would have thought the following 4 things. 1. The Chiefs are undefeated. 2. The Pittsburgh Steelers are undefeated with their 4th string quarterback. 3. The Bears are undefeated. 4. Vick is playing his ass off. (By the way Vick Non-Believers, if he torches the Washington D you gotta give him some credit. Not jump on his balls, but some solid credit.)

This is going to be a great NFL season.

Cutler found a way where he could mount a game-winning drive by throwing as many INTs as possible. That was embarrassing for the Packers.

At least my fantasy team (Chris Henrys Tailgate Party) won.

Would this be the same Washington Defense that allowed the Rams (yes... the Rams), WITHOUT Steven Jackson for the majority of the game, to beat them? I just don't think that Washington is that much of a litmus test for Vick.

Now, if he can do that against, say, Atlanta or Tennessee in Weeks 6 and 7, then I think it would be time to give him some real solid credit. Torching the Redskins is something that, with the weapons he has on offense (McCoy, Jackson, Celek, Maclin), and a solid defense backing him up, he should just do. That is a game that Philly should absolutely win.

To me, Vick has always been a tremendous athlete. While he was in Atlanta he was much more run oriented but now seems to be (starting to at least) developing his passing game. Yes, he did something illegal, did his time and is back. Deal with it people. Having taken two years off with little training and then coming back at this level this fast, I'm truly impressed. Sure he's not a hall of famer but give the man some damn credit. I say he can take them to the playoffs but don't see a Super Bowl in the near future. Who knows though, the way this season is going anything can happen.

AAARRRRGGGGHHHHHH!!!! Fuck man. That was just fucking terrible. Between him ass raping their special teams, and ALL THOSE GOD DAMN PENALTIES....just fucking horrible.

That game should be on repeat in the locker room for a month. Jesus Christ. They made it easier than the homeless hooker on the corner.

Not to mention they'll be looking to whoop up on the Redskins for McNabb's homecoming party in Philly.

Terrible coaching by the Packers at the end. 53 seconds left, Bears on the 1, let the Bears score a touchdown! They're going to kick the field goal with 5 seconds left, so give Aaron Rodgers a chance with 50 seconds left to lead a touchdown drive.

McCarthy needs to run this week's practice with a stick and beat anyone who gets out of line. Nothing short of a zero tolerance policy is going to clean that disaster up. Other than Aaron Rodgers, and I guess Woodson/Matthews the packers looked eager to play, but too coked out to function. On his fumble Jones ran 10 yards before he realized he didn't have the ball anymore. Not to mention the UBER TACKLE after whistles had been blowing for 3 seconds when our own defense was trying to force a turnover.

Colts GM: NFL's 18-game season plan already a done deal.

I think this is pretty freakin' sweet. Granted, this is gonna be more wear and tear on players, but I'm sure they've brought that up every time they add games. They're pro athletes, they know what they're getting into. HOWEVER, good coaches will be adding depth to the rosters, rotating more players in and out, and in my opinion gonna actually even up the playing field. Injuries will still occur, but last time I checked we've already had two or three QBs go down in the first couple weeks of the season. This means there will be a much more strategic aspect to how much time starters spend on the field. Now, the teams with depth are gonna have much more of a fighting chance over the teams with a few more superstars. Don't really have time to expand right now, but I'm pretty psyched.

I don't know, I mean why will it be sweet? Seldom does a team not make the playoffs because they needed a couple more games. Every once in a while a division ends up very close and a 11-5 team misses the post season but not often. I see chances for more injuries and more "platooning." I want the stars on the field, I think I would have been happy keeping it the way it is.

I guess I would like to see more reasons than just two more weeks of football.

An NFL player is going to die on the field sooner rather than later with an 18 game schedule. As much as I love football, 16 is enough.

They did this all fucking wrong. Why not just let more teams into the playoffs? Lengthen the season by giving us more meaningful games

In 1969 when I first became interested in football the schedule was 6 preseason games and 12 regular season games. Playoffs were between the first week of December and Christmas. Two week break for the Colleges to do their bowl games and the Superbowl was the first week of January or thereabouts. When they expanded to 14 games I thought it was too long as now the Playoffs expanded into the College Bowl season. When the Nfl expanded to 16 games, I think they went too far into the Baseball season as they cut 2 preseason games.

I really wish someone would start training camps two weeks later like the start of August and have two preseason games. Then have a 14 week regular season with no byes, Playoffs during the first three weeks of December, take time for the College Bowl season, and Superbowl during the First Weekend of January. It will never happen but lets have some separation between sports.

There's nothing meaningful about the playoffs if they start letting 8-8 and 7-9 teams into the playoffs. The playoffs are supposed to reward excellence, not mediocrity.

Honestly, I don't see this revolutionizing the game in any fantastic way. The season records will be broken, players will want more money, and we'll get to watch more football. Nobody's going to be dying on the field, and no coach is going to restructure their roster based on two more games. Is the players association going to play up the increased risk of injury? Yes because they're greedy.

Because of all the changes in rules and advances in medical technology, I don't think 18 games now is any more dangerous 14 games 40 years ago.
