I guess they aren't terrible games, just not the best on paper. Anyway, I'll give you the texans, but do you really think the raiders will win their division? This isn't just because Davis died is it? I mean the raiders have the best team they've had in almost ten years, but that really isn't saying all that much. I don't see them jumping the chargers who really should have made the post season last year, and are really going to struggle to lose that division again. I see Oakland as a 7-9 team, and no better than 9-7. They lost their best defensive player, and Jason Campbell is one of the worst starting QBs in the league. They can finally move forward with Davis dead, but I don't think they're there yet. I suppose the titans/steelers game is pretty intriguing. Tennessee has quietly been one of this season's biggest surprises. No one thought they would dominate the ravens like they did. Old man Hasselback has still got it and you can't contain Johnson forever.
I definitely admit that's being presumptuous, but I just never have much faith of the Chargers late in the season. They're definitely the superior team, but they underperform a lot at times. Plus I want to see how they do on the road more. I think I believe more in Campbell than you as well. If they can get it down where he's basically a guy to hand the ball to McFadden and take the occasional shot downfield, they should get to 9 wins. Basically, if they just need to do their best to put him in situations where the game doesn't depend on him.
LOL WUT? The Chargers, since Philip Rivers became their full-time starter in 2006, have been 38-7 in November and December. They are notorious for starting slow and finishing strong.
The Bills look like rockstars. First in picks. 18 consecutive red zone possessions with points. 3 TD lead.
That or the eagles just aren't very good. Seeing their fans pound their fists on the table and scream for Reid to get fired has been fucking priceless. Some moron was calling in to the radio show I listen to at work babbling about how the packers couldn't come within 20 points of the eagles and how they were a lock for a super bowl (this being preseason of course). I find this failure of a franchise oddly satisfying. Their stupid fans keep looking to the stars on that team and refuse to realize that their no name players are just really, really bad.
Buffalo Bills: Division winner? Wild card? Or neither? Also, looks like no one wants to win the NFC East.
What I'd give to be in a bar in NY or PHI right now. I can't believe the Giants lost the Seahawks at home. I love the fact the Bills are winning games, it makes the league way more interesting to have fewer teams shitting the bed. I picked the Bengals in my Deadpool this week. Thank you Cedric Benson and Red Rifle. I'm getting more and more scared of the Panthers. He also makes Mark Sanchez look like an asshole. 1st catch by Jets WR 9:55 2nd QTR. I love it.
I wish more people made more of the fact that Philly's defensive coordinator is an offensive line coach. I'm surprised Philly fans aren't bringing in bags full of batteries to throw at Andy Reid. I can't believe I'm saying this, but Seattle is way better than I thought it would be. They're really young and make idiotic mistakes like fumbling twice in the red zone. But they'll be fun to watch for the rest of the season.
Well, he is going to get his chance to be a hero. I can't imagine what kind of shit storm would have ensued if they let that call of an incomplete pass stand. Edit: Wow. We got a game. Between this and the jets/pats game we are getting some damn good football this afternoon.
I didn't see any of the game until Novak's FG, but I'll say, that final drive really impressed me. I'm not sold just yet, but he shows more promise than I had expected. Plus, like Wheelz said, at least him playing will give the front office some idea of whether their QB of the future is on the roster or not.
He was really shaky at first, but once he settled down and played his game he was magic. Mcgahee sure helped him a lot too.
