Also, here's an interesting article by Barnwell: <a class="postlink" href="http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/8434708/the-numbers-never-lie-ravens-fueled-their-defense" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/843 ... ir-defense</a>
People seem to forget that Denver had a pretty great offense that only stunk because Josh McDaniels ran the best players out of town.
One guy can say it will destroy his confidence, while another can say it's motivation to perform. Seriously though, destroy his development? What development? The guy has had 3 years to get better and just isn't. Ok, maybe he's gone from awful to terrible. I agree the team won't have a decent starting QB this year, but that was going to be the case anyway. If Sanchez doesn't get his shit together soon, and I mean very soon, the jets need to kick him to the curb. I'm not saying Tebow will be any better (he won't), but this team really needs to think about drafting a QB again unless we see a complete 180. You can't tell me with a straight face you think he'll be a great QB some day. At some point people need to stop making excuses for him.
Bears getting in that ass right now. 3 picks, two from touchdowns. Lance Briggs looked like Devin Hester, he got up quick! Also, there are a fuckton of Bears fans in Dallas. They're getting cheered all the time.
I loved how Briggs exploded through that hole like a RB instead of going down like alot of players would have. And as bad as Cutler is against the Packers, he is damn good against the Cowgirls. He went off on them 2 years ago and has played well tonite. He and Marshall are just locked in tonite. And PS, I don't care what the rule is, that was a bs call. Dude was hanging all over Marshall for about 10 seconds, tip my ass.
I think the football from Romo to the Chicago D is takes those direct flights also. I'm so clever. That's just mean...just fucking the shit out of the Dallas D.
I hope he goes home and takes a flaming shit on Dez Bryant's porch. Dez Bryant has almost singlehandedly cost them this game, which you can't say often about a wide receiver.
I'm no longer arguing with Ballsack in regards to Tony Romo. I'm just not doing it. This is a shitstorm.
I typed this before that last interception. I can't believe a team is seriously challenging the Jets for most incompetent offense. The weird thing is that the Cowboys still completed over 75% of their passes, despite the fact that Dez dropped three and five were caught by Bears. A weird game.
Anyone calling for Tebow after this last game is a fucking moron. Or a hack of a writer looking to drum up controversy with no basis in reality. At the end of the day, the Jets' running game is dogshit. The O-Line is only marginally better now that Wayne Hunter's been packed up and jettisoned into the sun (or traded to the Rams...). And now that Revis is done for the year, the defense is in shambles. But based on last year, our Lord and Savior Tebow is supposed to convert all of these things into wins, despite the fact that he had one of the best offensive lines in football last year, and a defense that won several of those games in spite of his obvious lack of talent. It's fucking sickening that this circus was somehow worth two draft picks.

He got hit in the eye with a football. True story. Your whole defense was based on Revis covering 50% of the field. Now that isn't a possibility, you're pretty much all fucked. Also like I said before. Tebow looks worse throwing the ball this year than he did last year. If they think they're going to win with him as QB1, they're fucking retarded. I feel sorry for you man, its pretty bad. The worst part is if they do sit Sanchez for let's say...David Gerrard. He'll be the highest paid QB2 in history.
Revis' impact is overrated unless you can consistently stop the run . Jets cannot. Their problem is on offense. Sanchez is horrible and everybody is afraid to tell him he's horrible. Their RBs suck and they had 1 decent receiver (Keller, not Holmes) and he's injured. Their owner traded for Tebow because he was convinced it would sell tickets. Im sure part of that had to do with Sparano's selling him on the ground and pound which hasnt worked since the mid 90's in the NFL. I dont know HOW people thought this was a playoff team. I dont get it. I know Im biased, but Id like somebody to explain to me how Tannehill is not the 2nd best QB in the AFC East.
I don't think anyone besides Rex Ryan thought they were a likely playoff team going into the season. I literally didn't see a single preview suggesting that they'd finish in the playoffs. Sure, Week 1 was an eyebrow raiser, but it was one week. And I have no horse in this race, but "he has the second lowest QB Rating among NFL starters, with 2 TDs to 6 INTs compared to Fitzpatrick's 12 and 7" seems like a decent argument.
ESPN was at Jets camp everyday. They talked about challenging the Patriots. Sickening. Tannehill has NO WR. Lots of those 6 were not his fault. (tipped passes + slipped WR + Legadu Naane). Way more upside.
