Dude, get off Tom Brady's dick. I get he's your favorite quarterback and all, but he doesn't have that much juice.

What I would like right now is a blocked FG, returned for a TD. That'd be awesome.

Hey, I don't deny that he is one of the best to ever play the game. I also don't deny that he whines like a two year old with a skinned knee if anyone even dares breathe on him, and gets in the refs faces more than any QB I've ever seen.

I had another Bears fan bitch about this to me. All QBs whine to the refs. It's what they do. Maybe they don't all scowl and look like a kicked puppy like Jay Cutler, but they do in fact all whine. Brady just gets shown more because he is just so god damn dreamy.

That was a fun game. Too bad the Patriots didn't win, but we'll see what happens in the playoffs. This will definitely make the 49ers Patriots Super Bowl way more interesting.

That was a pretty great game after the fumbles got out of the way. Can't expect to win when you let your opponents score on you in two plays. Ah well.

It was closer than it should have been, but I will take the win. I just hope Justin Smith is ok and that there are no serious injuries.

And I don't deny that you're a whiny cunt that's more than likely never strapped on a helmet. All QB's complain to the refs. As to your complaints about the timeout, he was probably pissed at a combination of the TO plus the protection not being set, since he was trying like crazy to get set up to snap the ball. So Brady happens to be demonstrative. Guys like Dan Marino would work the refs over like a pinata all the time. You're just looking for excuses to bitch.
As much fun as that comeback was, the 4th and 2 call nearly gave me an aneurysm. Why are you running a hard timing sideline route when you only need two yards? First off, Collinsworth was right. Woodhead needed to know where the first down marker was and go about a foot beyond it. Also, if Brady was going to go there that pass needed to be thrown immediately, not wait for Woodhead to turn, raise his hand, then release. Maybe he was the third/fourth read, but it didn't seem like it. Lord, throw a quick slant to Lloyd, who was clowning CBs all night. A hard in. A buttonhook to Hernandez. If you want to throw it to Woods have the receivers clear out the middle and have him angle back in from the backfield. All that work, and one bad call fucks it up.

    This. Right here.

All the comments about Brady "whining" or "bitching" or whatever... The whole rest of the league does this, but Brady has a little bigger slice of the public eye than most, and it happens that he has "made for TV" facial expressions and movements.

By this logic then, we can all agree that Suh isn't a particularly dirty player right?

True, Brady is not alone but he and Belichick do have a special whiny petulant child way of stomping around that makes it his own. Considering they get 90% of the calls anyways, its always fun to see them lose their shit a little.

And be fair...Marino yelled at his teammates for his own mistakes far more than he whined to the refs.

And I will say it again...the bullshit Pass Interference and 'defenseless receiver' calls are ruining the game. I had to boo the refs at the Dolphins game yesterday and the call was against the Jaguars. How are you supposed to play defense? Let the guy catch the ball, run around for a while, and then gently drag him to the ground?

...okay, I give up. What parallel could you possibly be drawing between my argument that most QBs are like this, but Brady has particularly "large" facial/physical expressions on the field, and a player who clearly and repeatedly tries to injure his opponents?

I guess the same sort of connection you could draw between a QB whining to a ref for a PI or roughing the passer call to a QB slamming the ball in the turf and stomping around like somebody stole the straw off his juicebox cuz the other team took a timeout.

Other than that, I wouldnt compare Suh to any other NFL player.

Surprised to not see more bitching about the Seattle fake punt. That was as egregious of a running up the score attempt (more so?) than any single thing the Patriots have ever done.

Why are you guys so personally offended by Brady expressing emotion? Any QB running a high-speed offense that's in sync is going to be frustrated at someone calling a timeout. So, he actually expressed that whereas some players wouldn't - and you can feel however you want about that, but I don't see where this actually affects anyone. He's not asking for a timeout to be illegal, just expressing frustration.

Where's the problem? And what does this have to do with Suh, who is impacting other players?

Wait...so youre telling me Pete Carroll can sometimes be a dick?

Whats next? Nick Saban is an asshole?

And it looks like Schianos shit is wearing a little thin in TB. Ask Spurrier or Saban how running an NFL team like you run a college program doesnt work out too well.

Offended? I love it. Next time, he should plop down on the field, cross his arms on his chest and hold his breath til he gets what he wants. You know how hard it is to make your bottom lip quiver with a mouthpiece in?

He is so good at suppressing his emotions its just interesting to see him fist pump after he runs 6yds for a 1st down in the 3rdQ of a game that theyve got well in hand OR throw a hissy fit cuz theyre getting bitchslapped at home.

I also give him all the credit in the world for not pulling a Cutler or Marino and going after the guys that fumbled. I dont like Brady but I also think hes the best player/leader/qb in the game and the Patriots and their fans are in for a RUDE awakening when he retires.

I mean, I'm a Patriots fan, I don't need much convincing about Pete Carroll's failings. I actually don't have a problem with the play. I'm just curious to see whether there will be backlash. The obvious difference is that Pete apologized post-game.

That seems premature. But that being said, it doesn't surprise me to see Bryan Cox's name in that story at all. The guy was a shitheel as a player, even if he does have a Pats Super Bowl ring.

The poor Falcons. They stomp a borderline-playoff team, and still have an ESPN headline reading "Why the Falcons Aren't Legitimate."

Word is the Browns HC and GM are on the way out, with Michael Lombardi and Nick Saban as replacement candidates. I think the Browns are kinda getting a raw deal here: they had no business playing as well as they have this year. That team is terrible, and has won 5 & competed in several more through sheer effort. But more importantly... why the hell would anyone think Saban is interested?

And lastly, to preempt d26 et. al: the 49ers are now the NFL's best team until proven otherwise. I still think New England is next up, but SF played damn well.

Buffalo has to do something major with the leadership in the organization.

The amount of talent they have out in the field should put them in the top 10 in the NFL. They have an excellent offensive line that is incredibly friendly to running backs, a RB who is #1 in the league in YPC (among backs), a couple talented and speedy wide receivers, a 7' tall tight end, and a defense that has shown it can play lights-out when they want to.

So WTF is going on? Fitzpatrick isn't THAT bad.

I don't think Spiller is getting anywhere near the number of touches he should be. The dude has been averaging 6.5 YPC. Give him the ball. All the time. This B.S. where they put in Choice or someone on the goal line? Stop it. Give Spiller the ball, make the defense stack the box to stop it, and throw on play action or a screen. With a back that's putting up those numbers, why is he getting 10-15 touches, whereas AP is getting 25 or more?

That fake punt was the same move as Schianos bullshit earlier in the year. You dont like it? Win.

I am always surprised when a well intrenched college coach moves on. To me, being the guy associated with a major program at a major institution is about as good as it gets.

As a Dolphins fan, the story on Saban differs. He was a major asshole off the field to everybody in the organization. That shit rubs players the wrong way. People also say he left because his wife didnt like south florida and/or the "nfl lifestyle". Remember, in a college town, youre WAY more likely to have people kiss your ass than call you a cunt in the grocery store.

But apparently Sabans ego is so big, he wants to prove he can do it in the NFL. Spurrier learned his lesson after the first attempt. But Nicks balls might be bigger than his ego.

    It aint the system.

I think Belichick is smart enuff to stay out of it cuz Brady has had different OC and he still hits wide open guys.

That STILL doesnt excuse him for temper tantrums. If that was the NBA, SF is shooting 2 ft for the tech.
