Holy shit the Indy receivers are infuriating. Almost every damn ball Luck has thrown in the fourth quarter has been catchable, and they're all hitting the ground. The Redskins are the only more butterfingered set of receivers I've ever seen.
Luck deserves better than that. You think it would go better for him, regardless. His name is "Luck", and his uniform is covered in horseshoes.
RGIII came to play. He's got to be careful though. He's not going to make it through this game if he keeps taking hits. That was such stupid and blatant penalty after the TD by Seattle.
Redskins' defence is fucking disgraceful. You could land a helicopter with the room they're giving the 'hawks.
Is it just me, or this this game's pace turn to a crawl? RG3 has about 85 yards right now what the fuhhhhhhhk???
Frankly, I have no idea how Washington is still winning. Seattle has totally dominated this game after the first quarter.
They don't deserve the lead. They played like stars in quarter 1, Seattle defence has showed it's true (talented) colours and the Skins defence (with the exception of Doughty) is a sieve right now. Washington backs/safeties are playing like Helen Kellar.
Well no one wants to see a game end like that. Hopefully the kid is alright for the future. It kinda of reminded me of when Shawn Livingston blew out his knee on an uncontested break away layup.
Who's playing? I think it's the Central Dakota Clean Coalminers vs. the ESU Timberwolves, ois it not? I don't know how CD is gonna penetrate the line with Alvin Mack and Latimer on D.
Naturally, the narrative set by the media isn't that the Seahawks won a playoff game on the road since 1983, or that it was a rookie QB that did it. Or the fact that he came from 14 points down. It's Shanahan's decision to play Robert Griffin. At this point, it'll take Russell Wilson winning the Super Bowl dressed as a woman in a blowout to get any respect from anybody.
Well that and the field conditions being crappy. Because, you know, it's football. God forbid they play on less-than-pristine surfaces. They should probably start cancelling games for rain too. My Fantasy Playoff Challenge team consists of Seahawks and Patriots. I'm a believer.
You know why RGIII and Luck got so much more attention than Wilson (and I'd argue that Wilson got more attention than Luck, actually)? It is because Wilson had, far and away, the most complete team around him. He was blessed to come on to a team with a very good offensive line, a great defense, and a very strong running game. Yes, Wilson has been great, and better than expected for a rookie QB, but RGIII did it on a Redskins team with a pretty poor defense and with some really bad wide receivers (outside of Garcon, who was injured most of the season). Luck took a 2-14 team and helped them to the playoffs, and made everyone remember that Reggie Wayne is an elite WR after last season's shit-show. And he did it with one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL, no real running game or star running back (no Alfred Morris or Marshawn Lynch), and a defense that was worse than the Redskins defense. They did much more with much less than Russell Wilson did, and hence they're getting the attention. Again, Russell Wilson had a great season, but he isn't the last rookie QB standing because he got lucky or because he was so amazing. He is the last rookie QB standing because he is on the best, most complete team with a monster of a defense. I actually think the Seahawks are going to go into their game against the Falcons with a LOT of people expecting the Falcons to get beat, and I'd say that is the Seahawks earning some respect, wouldn't you? Besides, RGIII's knee injury is kind of a huge deal. This is a kid that was a star before he even joined the league, only became a bigger star once he did join, and then thanks to a horrible coaching decision, there is potential for his career to take a horribly bad hit, if not the (slim) possibility that his career never recovers. How many guys get an injured ACL and can't come back at anywhere near the level they were before, especially after they've already had ACL injuries (which RGIII had in college)? Not everyone can be a robot like Adrian Peterson. A major star having his career potentially fucked up for a long time in his rookie year? That is a big deal.
