I don't disagree with you, but Flacco was fantastic in the second half. Played about as good as you can expect and outplayed Brady, partially because he scrambled for yards. Not to pile on, but for all the talk of Brady being a magnificent competitor and people jumped on me when I bitched about he being super demonstrative about scrambling for a meaningless first down when they were blowing out the Texas a few weeks back, him throwing it away when he could have taken a hit but still gotten first on the scramble, in the Red Zone, was about the softest, weakest shit I've seen from a player all playoffs. I mean, come on. If he had thrown a tough ball, sure, but he just feathered it into empty space.

I agree with you but there was almost no shot of him picking up that first down.

If Flacco wants "elite" status, he needs to play like he did last night for the majority of a season, not just for a couple games here and there.

Belicheat makes Brady look like a warrior.

"I lost so im not doing post game interviews."

Whats the over/under on the fine? $99.5k?

And say goodbye to Welker. No way Pats pay him $10million a season to drop big catches. They overlooked the SB drop and franchised him. Not gonna happen again.

Who would the Bears rather mistakenly pay $10million per season? Jake Long or Wes Welker?

Do you guys giggle to yourselves like little girls every time you type some cutsy quasi-insult-play-on-a-name?

"Tee hee, did you see what I did there?" Tony homo. Sea chickens. Belicheat. Cowgirls. Rapistburger. Obummer.

Am I alone in automatically assuming people who use these have double-digit IQs?

I typically just truncate names and add -douche on the end.

    Bill Beli-douche
    Jonathan Papel-douche
    Bobby Valen-douche

Obviously, I'm hovering just above single digits.

I think I can respect that more than the repetitive, worn out, "cutsy" nicknames.

I usually just relegate them all to "fuckstick" and hope that the context will adequately describe the person in question.

    One L or 2?

Is it 'chik' or 'chick' or 'chich'?

And I dont really give a fuck to learn it.

Im sorry your panties got all in a wad about it, Nancy. Ill try harder next time I swear.

Yeah, but in plenty of other games, he's Joe Flacco.

Also Brady threw it away because he wasn't going to get that first. He was about 1 yard away from being demolished by a Ravens linebacker, when they needed about 4 or 5.

Honestly, I think doing much of anything would be a mistake for the Patriots. I mean, sure, sign guys that available, draft for a few needs, but ultimately, it's not like Flacco threw for 500 yards at 80%. The Ravens got a few lucky breaks (Talib being out, the tipped interception, the fact that Steven Ridley didn't actually fumble, Ridley giving them the ball in scoring position), and they capitalized on them. It's not like the Patriots got embarrassed.

Bernard Pollard should not be allowed to play in the NFL because clearly that guy has some kind of witch doctor spell around him. HOW DOES HE INJURE EVERYONE?! He has knocked out Tom Brady, Wes Welker, Rob Gronkowski, and Steven Ridley, all on clean plays. How is this even possible?

Come on. They got a little bit embarrassed.

Starting with that abortion at the end of the first half, getting shut out in the second half at home, 2 picks by Capt Comeback, dropped passes, guys getting injured and knocked the fuck out (im not sure what was worse, Ridley's dead/jimmy arm or the hurdlers stretch).

Compounded by the better bitch face after the game - Brady or BELICHICK. (Ill remember it now: One L and cries like a CHICK. Got it.)

That was one of the worse games Ive seen them play in a while. I thought they'd roll into the SB.

Yes and no. It was embarrassing, because they were the Patriots. Objectively, as a football game, it was an about average loss. The two picks were (1) a tipped ball, and (2) a last-minute desperation heave.

Great point. People expect more from the Patriots so it is relative.

I would say more disappointing than embarrassing. All I read on Twitter in the 4thQ was "just wait" and "67-0 at home when leading at half time".

They just seemed off. Not as sharp as they had been the last couple weeks.

He shook the other coach's hand like he's supposed to.

Didnt shake any of the opposing teams players hands. Whatever.

Sent out a player to do the postgame outside the locker room interview. All the other losing coaches do.

Harbaugh is too classy to say anything but.

Belibitch is as classy as his sideline attire.

Hey guys, this is my first NFL game. Is Coach Belichick usually tight-lipped and reclusive after big losses?

Belichick also called Ozzie Newsome to give Harbaugh a recommendation during his interview process. So I imagine Harbaugh is a bit more sympathetic and biased to such a situation. Just saying.

The article also says Belichick suggested no post-game handshake, Harbaugh had to insist.

I know Cary Williams tried to Hi5 him and BBwasnt having any of that. Im OK with that. Shake hands? yes Fist bump? maybe. Hi5? nope.

AND BB waited for Harbaugh when he could have split. There was a time when he had to search and wait. I give him credit for that.

I dont think Belichick is a bad guy, I think Suggs was right. The Patriots are an arrogant team. They deserve to be. You could see it in the clock management at the end of the first half and you could see it in the 2nd half and after the game.

But if youre arrogant when you win, be classy when you lose. Shake hands, congratulate the other team and coach in the postgame PC and then whine and bitch in the locker room if you need to.

God this bullshit is getting worse than a few years ago when Jerome Bettis was begging his team to "get him back to Detroit" for the Super Bowl. God damn the football gods or baby Jesus, for allowing Rapelsburger to shoe string tackle the run back after Bettis fumbled during that Colts game.
