Hockey, huh? I was a season ticket holder for the Macon Whoopee. (Not the 70's era Macon Whoopees - I'm not THAT old.) I still have one of my jerseys, er sweaters. I miss local hockey.
Too many people bitch about electronic music, say its noise, not as talented as "real" music or whatnot. And, while I admit that stuff like heavy dubstep can get obnoxious and some of it isn't for me, most of these "DJs" and producers are still talented musicians who just articulate their sound in a different way. Zedd is one of my favorites right now and he stripped down for Letterman. I wouldn't hate if it started a trend of live performances like this...
Well, if that's a good representation of modern electronic music, those guys have come full circle and Crown Royal is about 1000% more tolerable as a person if that's his product.
I like watching hockey, but not enough to she'll out the bucks they charge for tickets. Luckily, my sponsor has season tickets to the Stars, so I usually get them when he goes out of town, which is fairly often. Surfing in Costa Rica, car racing in northern California, skiing in Banff. Yeah, sucks to be him. If only the cockpit of his Carrera wasn't so small...

Remind me: which of those sports allow you to run of of bounds again? And America's most popular sport is NASCAR. You got nuthin'. Bro.
I think I'm going to throw up. I didn't know so many of the San Antonio Spurs played soccer as well. How can anybody watch that video and still defend that sport with a straight face? And don't give me that "It's part of the game" bullshit. I've seen gay pride parades with a more macho disposition. At least the FANS are there to donate violence.
And this guy is now apparently dead... http://www.921wlhr.com/body-found-in-carnesville-identified-2/
There is still shit in the genre, but the bottom line is most very good electronic music is synth-based, so these artists are all talented pianists and understand music theory. So the ability to strip down songs to their elements like that is there. The original is very similar, with a heavier back beat and a bit more pace. I mean, I don't particularly like Skrillex, but even he is altering his sound to more resemble some of the UK-based music he was originally inspired by. I think now that the genre is getting big and "mainstream" in some ways, you will see more innovation and quality. Its always been there, but had almost an "underground" quality cause there wasn't the interest in it. So it had to be something notable or wildly different to get noticed, usually for negative purposes.
Are you people seriously debating the merits of soccer vs. hockey? It's like competing in the Special Olympics. Even if you win, you're still retarded.
Sure you got the right guy? <a class="postlink" href="http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/people/kyle-myersfpsrussia" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/people/ky ... sfpsrussia</a>
Regardless, it took me about 30 seconds of watching the video to realize it was an American dude doing a Russian accent.
I was actually thinking about this earlier today. I'm going to guess that we have one more... iteration? of EDM type music before it's no longer what is "popular." It started off underground, became sort of known with Daft Punk and the like, and then got big a few years ago. Now I think we're on the downward part of the curve. I want to say the "post-EDM" will be a return to the more traditional band instruments, but that's probably more wishful thinking than anything else. I just can't see this trend being sustained much more than 1-2 years more.
Arguing on the Internet is like competing in the Special Olympics. I wouldn't really know, but I bet winning is awesome and you get a medal and pretzels and stuff.
