Well excuse them if they think that it's not weird for a mother and a daughter to share hobbies. Spoiler hobbies is what i call dicks
Also, they have this soda stream thing. I used a sugar free peach. It has been months since I had any sort of carbonated beverage. It has made me realize that carbonated things, despite being 99% water, dry me the f out. I have such a dry mouth right now.
I'm watching COPS on G4. And it is a special where they are busting hookers by using an undercover cop as a fake John and soliciting. It's just that they still look like such cops and you would think seasoned prozzies such as these fine ladies would be a little more aware. I think my expectations are rather lofty.
Just bought so much at BevMo that I saved $145.45. I am determined to make this Christmas dinner with the GF's parents fun.
So am I the only one who looked at this and thought "well that's an awfully detailed close-up of a pubic louse"?
Look, I'll admit that I'm not a big fan of rap, but I listened to that entire clip and didn't really hear any music. There's a drum and about four or five notes played on a synthesizer, with a guy reading mediocre poetry over it. If that's what speaks to you, then great, more power to you. However, compare that to the skill shown in this clip. If you don't have time to listen to it all, fast forward to 8:30. Do try to ignore the cheesy looks from 1992 though.
I dunno, all I heard was a guy plucking a string or two, another guy banging a couple of sticks, and a third guy mumbling listlessly in monotone. And then around the 7 minute mark some guy played a Kenny G solo. See what I did there?
I don't even fuck with Earl that heavy. I would say it "speaks to me", just that it shows a lyrical skill and dexterity that far outstrips basically anything else in popular music. I don't even really care if it qualifies on "musical" merits -- from a difficulty standpoint, it's asinine to argue that all rap is simplistic and stupid (not that you were/are doing that). As far as mediocre goes, I'd think you'd be hard pressed to find poetry with more complicated and dedicated internal and external rhyme structure. Which is fucking hard. It might not be everyone's cup of tea, but there's a real talent, and I think it bears mentioning. FWIW also, his father is also a pretty prominent "real" poet.
Cops is one of the funniest fucking shows ever made. To this day, it is the one and only reality show I liked. It isn't fascinating, but it's just a Noah's Ark off-ramp of losers, both sides of the law. I don't care if a lot of it was fake, it's awesome.
Anyone here familiar with Woodford Reserve? Bought it for my cousin in law for Christmas and I've never actually had it myself, I'm hoping I made a good choice. More importantly, I am officially off work for the next 5 days straight. Time to break open the Sailor Jerry.
Ok, I'm sorry, this made me laugh. CNN... dude. Come on dude. "Yeah Jerry, what ad are we running today? Oh, the VW one? 'Things are looking up'? That's perfect, it'll remind people that even in our darkest hour, we can still buy ugly convertibles."
Hell yes. I am drinking a maple stout, and am on my second one. Never had a beer with maple syrup in it before, and this ain't gonna be an every day beer but it is delicious!
