I saw that McFadden went down, offered the trade and it was accepted. I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm always scouring other lineups and seeing where they might need a player and whether I can offer a trade that fills a hole in their lineup that also helps out mine. It's not a bad trade. He gets a starting RB who already had their bye week and a WR whose QB is third in points, second in TD's and barely another WR on the team getting touches. I can guarantee no one else in the league would have given up anything more than I did. If you were the one trading with him what would you have done with your team? Bush for Marshall? Jackson and Thompkins for Marshall? Bell and Thompkins for Marshall? I doubt you make any of those trades and anything else you would offer is no better than what I did.
Not really. I wasn't too happy about having both Jackson and McCoy on my squad. With the Marshall trade I made, I have too many WR's and I'd rather trade one away for a starting RB than have one taking up space on my bench doing nothing. Let's not forget that every trade I attempted to make with Jackson was rejected. I offered you Jackson and Murray for Charles and you turned it down. I offered someone else Jackson and Murray for Bush and it got rejected. Another one was Jackson and Murray for Lynch that got rejected. Offering a top 5 RB and top 10 WR for one top player and I get absolutely nothing. Obviously no one in our league likes to make any trades regardless of what they are getting so I'm making moves that I think benefit me.
I will say I thought this wasn't going to go through until Monday, so it will be mildly amusing if you end up beating me this week.
I wouldn't call Lacy a scrub. He got a concussion after 3 minutes in week 2 on a dirty hit and he had a bye last week. He's the unquestioned RB1 for Green Bay. I know they throw the ball all over the field, but I bet he finishes top 15 in RB's if he stays healthy.
Yeah, I just can't justify giving up the number 2 running back in the league. If you would have offered Jackson for Bilal Powell, we would have had a deal.
I'm being completely serious when asking for help understanding how you couldn't justify giving up the number 2 RB in the league for the number 5 RB and the number 8 WR. So you held onto 20 pts a game when you could have gotten 40pts a game and filled in a giant hole at your WR spot? I really don't get the methodology behind how you guys operate.
Seriously though, it's not bad, but you swapped being stacked at RB to stacked at WR. Cowbell got the bad end of that trade, but I'm sure you're both happy with it.
Well, I'm losing an average of 3.75/week at RB, and gaining something like 10/week at WR, so it works out for me, actually. Granted, Charles has potential for a lot more than Bell, especially with Bush so strong, but Bush and Charles are both fairly injury prone, and I still have AP and Rodgers to bring in big points every week. Cowbell was already stacked at WR, so basically he has his final piece now.
There is nothing worse than giving that fucker more weapons. I don't care how this season goes, as long as I beat MoreCowbell in the standings and playoffs. Somehow, someway.
I know you're desperate to beat me in something because you can't do it head to head, but simmer down. You're going to be waiting a while.
I saw it last night, still thinking about it but I am pretty sure I am going to turn it down. It makes me weaker at RB (I don't trust any Jet) and I don't think it is worth it for the upgrade at QB.
