Another suspect is in custody. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/blog/e...ing-held-in-connection-with-odin-lloyd-murder
He's fucked. What an idiot. You just signed a 40 mil contract with the New England Patriots!!! What do you want to do now??!!!! MUDER A GUY AND END UP IN PRISON!!!
And the hits keep coming. Hernandez being investigated for 2012 double homicide. Speculation is that Oden knew about the double homicide, and said something dumb a week ago to some people that Hernandez had "issues" with. This set Hernandez off, which is (again, speculated to be) the motive. Hernandez is double fucked with a side of sodomy.
Well the one thing I do know is that both sides of the case seem to be on point. There won't be any bullshit or fuck ups with procedure, evidence or anything like that. This is going to come down to if the jury is stupid or not. I do not think Aaron is innocent at all. Once I heard the news this morning I was like "Well it was fun Aaron." He's no longer a Patriot, I do not care. And by do not care, I mean in tears. And just saw the double homicide thing. Holy fucking shit.
I thought this was a foregone conclusion? This whole thing is pure comedy to me. At least from what it's shaping up to look like, the dude is a murderer (or at least is closely tied to murderers) hiding in plain daylight. People would literally kill (no pun intended) to be a professional football player, and yet here is this dude, a professional football player, "allegedly" literally killing people
He is literally a serial killer if the double shooting allegations are true. He was also looked at for a double shooting in Gainesville.
They brought up a good point on the radio last night. Drafting him aside, what does it say about the arrogance of the Pats organization to sign him to an extension but let Welker walk? If this last thing wasn't an isolated incident, then he must have hid it pretty well. That or the Pats background checks are a little lax.
It says nothing. If it was any of the other 31 teams, nobody would use 'arrogance' to describe the situation. But because "OMG I THINK BELICHICK CHEATS AT EVERYTHING RAWWWWR..." TEs are becoming more valuable, and WRs and RBs are becoming less valuable. That's it. The NFL has been trending that way for a few years. Given the respective ages of Welker and Hernandez, it's not that unusual. Up until 2 weeks ago, you would be hard-pressed to find someone who thought it was the wrong move by the Patriots. In similar news, someone might find this useful: http://www.patriots.com/news/article-1/ ... f1e551b228
Anybody know anywhere that's selling Hernandez jerseys on the cheap? It can't be that hard to buy one and peel the numbers off.
That's not a good point. That's a lazy point brought up by people using the benefit of hindsight. Because teams were staying away from him during the draft due to his extensive criminal history? Please.
Has nothing to do with drafting him. They renewed his contract before it was up. Unlike they did with big stars, like Vince Woolfork & Wellker, who have strong community ties AND are All-Pro players.
Again, hindsight. Look, I'm not a Patriots fan by any means (seriously, I fucking HATE them, and it pleases me to no end that they have to deal with the Tebow circus) BUT this whole "only the Patriots would sign that fucking murderer and have the balls to think they could control him!" line of reasoning is bullshit. They didn't sign Welker and Wilfork because they are older players. Wilfork (seriously, if you're going to argue, at least spell their names right) is 31, Welker is 32. Even though they're great players, they're on the downturn of their careers. They play exceptionally physical positions, get hit a LOT, and if either of them are still playing in 5 years I'll be shocked. Hernandez, on the other hand, is 23 and on the upswing of his career arc. He had 7 to 10 good years left in him, so locking him up long term was a good idea. Welker and Wilfork don't have that kind of time left, so they aren't going to get that kind of long term extension that they want. All the hindsight stuff is bullshit. Until this came to light, almost any team in the NFL would've given up at least a 2nd round pick for Hernandez in a trade, because they saw in Hernandez what he showed on the field: the ability to be a top 5 tight end in football, on the upswing of his career, and (until he went and killed some mother fuckers) with a lot of solid years left. All that said, the Patriots are handling this situation exceptionally well. They cut him immediately, and are now offering to exchange out his jerseys. He won't ever play in the NFL again, and the Pats know it. This isn't a Ray Lewis situation; the Ravens stuck by Lewis (its Baltimore, they have to expect SOME murder to be committed by their players, right?). The Patriots dumped Hernandez like a bad habit as soon as he was arrested, and I'm honestly surprised they waited that long.
Unless there is secret evidence that the Patriots knew him to be a homicidal maniac at the time of offer, I'm really failing to see the point here.
