I'm not going to knock them for failing to uncover stuff the police are only starting to link to him years later. I always thought people were only serial killers if they were killing for the sake of killing. I'd say Hernandez is just a garden-variety violent criminal. If what I've read is true, they should have waited to dump him. I've heard that they could have wiped his salary from the books if he's convicted, but that option is off the table now that they've cut him.
According to Adam Schefter's twitter feed.... Boston PD has located red SUV with RI plates it was looking for as identified in July 2012 homicide. Aaron Hernandez rented it.
For the record, the only knock on Hernandez coming out the draft was he smoked some weed. Some guy on Profootballtalk or some other non ESPN website, talked about "weed guys" actually having more upside due to them being lower in the draft. The hindsight is silly of course, this guy is totally fucked though. It is sad. I'm pretty sure Robert Kraft has no problem paying just to get "Current Patriots player" off the description of Hernandez.
On the other hand, if he does somehow beat the rap and walks free he'll have a roster spot on the Bengals waiting for him.
Has he has basically become the east coast criminal's version of "The dog ate my homework"? I think everyone is overestimating how knowable these sorts of things are until they're actually reported on by the media. If you are investigated by the police but not charged with anything, that's kind of private business between you and the police. And I'm guessing Hernandez wasn't eager to inform his employer. Sure, were it to happen now, it'd be a big deal with cameras, but not when he was just some football playing jock in Florida. And even today, if he gets tossed from a bar, it's not like they call up Bob Kraft to come pick him up and take him home.
Accomplice told that Hernandez did it I'm more convinced than ever that he's a serial killer. How many murders do you get away with to be this gangster/sloppy? Good overview of the whole situation.
I don't know if I would use the term "serial killer" for Hernandez anymore than I would use it for a Blood or a Crip who has killed multiple people. Serial Killers kill for psychological gratification and kill multiple times over a short period (few months). Hernandez seems like an absolute moron who fancies himself a gangbanger and thinks he's above the law. Most people work through disagreements or ignore them. Some get into fistfights. The most sociopathic of the population just flat out shoot people they have an issue with. Hernandez falls into the latter category. He's not Dexter Morgan, he's a common gang member who just happens to be a wealthy, high profile athlete.
I just want to say, less than a month until preseason. "But it's just preseason, they don't even count let alone play key players." Ya know what? After having nothing but nascar, baseball and/or basketball for months I don't give a shit, it's football.
NOW they can start that stupid fucking discussion about the NFL having an image problem. <a class="postlink" href="http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/9480174/denver-broncos-suspend-matt-russell-tom-heckert" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/94801 ... om-heckert</a> Well not really, but its funny that execs are getting loading as well. Also, funny as shit that people were wearing Free Hernandez hats out in public. <a class="postlink" href="http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/9479337/maurkice-pouncey-pittsburgh-steelers-sorry-free-hernandez-hat" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/94793 ... nandez-hat</a> Just goes to show, its too damn easy to make hats these days. Yeah and motherfuckers can't have twitter accounts unless they're peeling of terrible sports cliches, are lightly ribbing opponents without the world jumping down their throats. <a class="postlink" href="http://espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/story/_/id/9479415/victor-cruz-new-york-giants-says-zimmerman-tweet-wrong" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/story/_ ... weet-wrong</a>
Training camp starts today for a lot of teams, up to and including my Seahawks. I'll be there on Saturday watching practice. Hopefully Russell Wilson will sign my manboobs.
I'm pretty sure 12 is greater than or equal to the number of people that will give a shit about the Panthers this year.
Camp starts tomorrow. I am beyond excited for the games to begin. Lambeau now holds 80,750 and is the third pargest in the NFL, passing Dallas which holds 80k. The loud just got louder and was done with not one cent of taxpayers money. They must be doing something right. I am SO ready for some football.
