Jay Cutler's performance was disgusting on Sunday. That's all I'm going to say, because JWags might kill me. Bears fans and Bengal fans should be friends at this point. Holy fuck, is Brian (for some reason I keep wanting to type Brandon) Hoyer a real QB? Is this a thing? Is the Browns coach trying to out Belichick, Belichick in the fashion department? I'm going to have to study the Patriots line-up because I agree with MoreCowbell, who the fuck are these guys? This happened: "TOUCHDOWN MULLGIAN! WOOHOO! FUCKING AWESOME. WHO THE FUCK IS MULLIGAN?"
He is the absolute worst. My wife cringes when I turn on a game and she hears that Simms is announcing, because the litany of filth that comes out of my mouth would make a trucker blush. He. Is. Fucking. Cocksucking. Awful. My Broncos are kicking ass. Well, until the playoffs, when Peyton chokes.
Question about the 3rd and 1 in the Pats game: If a runner is contacted and his knee lands on his own player, is he down? Or is he good as long as there's no grass/opponent there?
He is not down, other players are not the field. Unless his knee or elbow touches the field, or forward progress is halted, the player can keep going. He can body surf on anyone and it doesn't count as down.
Sup. Seattle had no business winning that game. Still, I'll take it. One question though. Did you participate in the jersey burning after the game?
Big Vince is out with a blown Achilles'. The Pats just lost the equivalent of 2 linemen there. Wonder what it would cost them to trade Seattle for Jesse Williams...
Vellano (the UFA who filled in last night) actually looks pretty decent. Got a sack and all. But yeah, huge loss.
For that trade to happen, the league would have to allow trades for players on IR. Plus I'm pretty sure he's got a degenerative knee condition. In terms of name recognition, it looks like Casey Hampton is probably the best bet as a replacement. But knowing the Patriots FO, they'll promote some cab driver from the practice squad and he'll get a Pro Bowl invite.
Odds anyone takes a shot on Freeman? <a class="postlink" href="http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/tampa-bay-buccaneers-release-qb-josh-freeman-100313" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/tamp ... man-100313</a>
I can't see why Jacksonville doesn't at least take a look. Their QB is so braindead, it's probably legal to harvest his organs.
Big game for the bills tonight. I hate the fact that Byrd wants to come back now that they are doing decent and showing some potential. Pisses me right off.
One of my friends had to choose between Hoyer and Luck against Seattle. He went with Hoyer, yet was still less upset to see Weedon than the Browns fans at the bar were.
Looks like Hoyer tore tendons in his knee. Cleveland continues to be the spitoon of the football gods.
That game went from interesting, to terrible after EJ Manuel went down. Weeden played well, but Tuel was a mess.
Yeah, Tuel was terrible but given he's an undrafted rookie working behind another rookie who is a work-in-progress, I guarantee he hasn't been seeing any real snaps in practice and doesn't have a lot to learn from. It's too bad; the Bills were actually looking pretty sharp before he came out. And frankly, I hated a lot of the offensive play calling with him on the field. Cleveland was not going to just let draw plays go the length of the field - he's a fucking quarterback, let him throw. Let him make mistakes. It's better to go down with a chance by letting him actually try passing than it is to go down with no chance because all the defense needs to do is load the box. Maybe if you let him throw a little, you wouldn't put him in desperate situations where he'll just heave it at the first open look he gets.
