Intentionally batting the ball forward during a fumble is a penalty? Learn something new every week with this league.
It's becoming clear that Hoodie is sacrificing one player a week to the dark gods of football in order to secure this record. This week it's Vollmer. I don't think we have enough players to last until the playoffs.
Apparently Dez Bryant ought to keep his trap shut about who the best receiver in the NFL is. And that call against the Fins was stupid. So if I dive for a ball to try to corral it but instead bat it forward that's a penalty? Ridiculous.
To be fair, he inherited a dumpster fire of a program where the previous coach had went 11-44. You take away the first 4 years and cycle out the players from the previous regime, and he was 57-33 at a historically awful football school. I agree that he's a miserable NFL coach and his approach is terrible, but his work at Rutgers was impressive and he brought life and local interest to a joke of a program.
Or maybe I was referring to this? It's funny though that you were so eager to once again spout stupid as you're won't to do that you completely missed the point. Of course, considering the fact that you continue to use homosexual terms as what you seem to think is some kind of pejorative, it's not surprising.
Yeah I understand that. It just didn't seem like he punched at it to bat it away though. When you're on the ground trying to pick up a fumble you tend to try to swipe at the ball, it was just far enough away though that he couldn't corral it but instead it got away. But it's an intent penalty so at the end of the day the refs make their judgement call.
What do you expect the guy to say, that he sucks? Of course he's going to say he feels like he can do anything on the field, that's the mentality you have to have in order to be in the NFL. Non-story if you ask me.
I can kinda understand the season like 25 years ago when my step-dad turned off the Vikes game in the middle and didn't watch them for the rest of the season.
Don't know what to think here. That thing definitely looks swollen to me. I'd expect Brady to lie about an injury.
I'm not a Dallas fan. Games like today, I have sympathy for Romo being on a perpetually shitty team. You throw for 5 TD's and score 48 points...you lose. You throw for 3 TD's and score 30 points...you lose and let a guy catch 300+ yards. I know everyone rags on Romo that he is at fault for losing big games, but fuck man, you can only do so much as a QB.
I think the jaguars are a solid contender for worst team ever. They are currently dead last in both points allowed and points scored. Granted, we're only halfway through the year, but I'm not sure if a team has ever managed to be worst in the league on both sides of the ball before. They're currently losing by an average 22 points per game and haven't come within single digits of any opponent. They've been blown out in nearly every game they've played this season. Even the 0-16 lions would occasionally keep a game close. There was a fan cheering his heart for them yesterday when I was at the bar watching the early games. It was quite amusing.
Actually the Jaguar's defense isn't TERRIBLE on paper. But when you're on the field 38 minutes a game you're shit.
It would help if their offense wasn't going 3 and out practically every drive, but you can't give up that many points without being pretty bad. Sure, they would be doing better if the offense helped, but they still suck.
I said it before the season started and I'll say it again. They should get Tebow. They're averaging ten points a game, and seriously, what is their max wins in the best case scenario? 2? Maybe? Gabbert and Henne are both worthless anyway so it's not like they would be benching the future of their team. Might as well put asses in the seats and then use their first or second overall draft pick to grab a QB.
Given the choice between jumping into a woodchipper or playing behind Seattle's offensive line, something tells me I'd live longer doing the former. Jesus Christ.
Seahawks playcalling was fucking terrible. Needed 18 pts combined from Russell Wilson and Sidney Rice against one of the worst teams in the league with a new scrub QB, and Rice gets hurt and Wilson is pedestrian. LOVE THE NFL. Finally had my first good day positive betting NFL betting day in weeks and this pathetic showing yanked a bunch back. No way a team this schizophrenic away from home is a viable Super Bowl candidate, especially when they wont have home field.
The one reason I can see not to get Tebow is that presumably, they'd like Justin Blackmon (and to a lesser extent, Shorts) to develop as a player, and Henne is the best quarterback for that.
