Can't believe I watched the Rams almost beat the Seachickens. The Rams brought their defense on a night that just happened to be one that the Seahawks Oline was God awful. GOD AWFUL. And as said above, who in the hell was doing the play calling for Seattle? IMO, they really should not have won that game considering how they played.
The above post is proof positive that you know nothing about Seattle. The fact that you're calling Wilson pedestrian when he's put the team on his back MULTIPLE times to a win, confirms it. While I'm not particularly happy about the play of the o-line, I'm not bitching about the fact that they're 7-1. If they beat New Orleans at home in a few weeks, Seattle has home field in the playoffs.
Seattle's offensive philosophy is to run run run, play action and take care of the football. This is why Wilson will never have the gaudy numbers that Rodgers, Manning or Brady will put up. Think of Wilson as a game manager that can take a game over when he needs to. All you have to do is look at Houston this year. The running game wasn't as effective as it needed to be, so Wilson ran and threw his way to an overtime victory, on the road, at 10 AM Pacific. Wilson is the best case against looking squarely at a box score.
Oh he most definitely was basing all his commentary off gambling: not covering + fantasy football experience. I just wanted JJ to elaborate for shits and giggles.
I think Seattle is a solid pick to make the super bowl. The thing is, there just isn't very many contenders in the NFC right now. Green Bay has an outside chance, but they probably won't get a top seed and I really doubt their defense can hold it together for 3 straight games in the playoffs, especially considering the way they fold against elite QBs. Then there's the 49ers who Seattle already crushed. New Orleans is their toughest competition at the moment. After those 3 other teams who is there? Dallas and Detroit? I don't think anybody would wager on either of those teams making it. Also, I think Seattle has a really good chance to get home field for the playoffs, but we will see.
I was not talking about him overall at all. Speaking strictly about last night. He didn't have a good game, though the OL didn't help. I did think the playcalling was extremely predictable and I thought they underutilized Wilson a bit. When he rolled out, it was opening things up, but they continued to run up the middle when the Rams were putting 8 in the box or dropping him back when they were sending the house the whole first half. I don't remember specific examples cause I blacked out most of it, but I do remember thinking the identical bootlegs on first and second and goal before the TD was a bit weird. They are just a very different road team. 4-1 is deceptive when their best road win is probably Arizona. Thought, looking at it now, they have a very easy schedule the rest of the way. Save a probable loss @SF, the rest of their games are very winnable, the toughest being a Saints team who also is never great on the road.
What has anyone posted in the last few pages that has been pious? What in the fuck are you even responding to? I know being a raging douche is kind of your thing, but you've been especially annoying and making even less sense lately.
He's just upset that he can't provide any football analysis outside of "Brady is a pussy, Belichick is a cheat, any minority that remotely does a bad thing is an undereducated thug who doesn't deserve his money and go Bengals!"
The Bengals and Dolphins. Not too exciting but I'll go ahead and bump this thread for myself since I see all of the bots threads which had burried it on page 6. Hate that.
That's pretty much what I expect from a Thursday game. They really need to stop doing them. Losing Atkins is a big deal.
