If there is one thing that is certain, it is that this plays the way Bill B. loves to coach. It creates a lot of misdirection and gives coordinators a whole new level of bullshit to have to plan for. Hell, BB may not even put Tebow out on the field until week 3 and it might be for a single short yardage play to get a first down at midfield. Then you may not see Tebow again until they run him at H-back on a gadget play weeks later.

You never know, BB may even use him as a wedge breaker on his kick-off team for all we know. That is beauty of it for Belichick

As a Pats fan I think this is hilarious. I really doubt Tebow is going to get serious playing time at QB, and there's no shot in hell Hoodie actually thinks he's a long-term option there. It's all about versatility at TE, FB and all the other "bit player" positions.

That season he was with the broncos was so entertaining I'm praying for Tom Brady to break a leg, and Ryan Mallett too since that's what it would take. You think God has forgotten about Tebow? You'll see.

Well he's been practicing with QBs, wearing the red jersey. I'm not sure he's going to convert over to another position like everyone thinks. He just took off all that weight he put on to play other positions.

Exactly, its already been reported that he was signed as a QB, is working with Brady, etc... Just cause you converted Julian Edelman doesn't mean Belichick magically converts all players at his whim. Tebow already started in the league as a QB, and is hell bent on being an NFL QB, he's not gonna be split out or lining up as an Aaron Hernandez H-back. He might give you random trick play versatility, but that's about it.

On top of the fact I've said before. The previous converts never played a snap at their "original" position. Which makes it easier to convert them. They were rookies. Tebow is well into his NFL career, and the conversion window is pretty much closed.

I've said this before, but the idea that Tim Tebow is actually qualified to be an NFL tight end is pretty odd.

He's too small to block, doesn't know how to run routes, probably isn't anything special at catching the ball, and isn't even that fast once you ignore his position.

People make these statements based on how Tebow looks as a QB. He's big.... for a quarterback. He's fast... for a quarterback. He's athletic... for a quarterback.

The guy ran a 4.71 40 yard dash at the combine. There were 6 guys in this year's draft class alone at TE that ran faster than that. Vernon Davis ran a 4.38. Jimmy Graham ran a 4.53. Gronk ran a 4.68. Gates a 4.6. Hernandez a 4.64. Witten a 4.65. Gonzo a 4.49. Bennett a 4.68. Cook a 4.49. Those guys have, on average, twenty five pounds and two inches on Tebow too.

Heath Miller is the only high-caliber TE that Tebow can outrun, and Hernandez is the only one smaller than Tebow. Maybe there are others, but Tebow is outsized and/or outran by at least 90% of NFL tight ends.

Add in the fact that every tight end in the NFL has been playing his position for a while now. These men are professionals. They are literally the 50 or so best tight ends in the entire world. They have YEARS learning how to run plays, block, make cuts downfield, etc. Tebow's gonna show up and suddenly be better than them because Jesus powers?

The only thing that Tebow can do that your average tight end cannot is throw a football. And even that is kinda unclear.

To be fair, I have no idea what the context of the police statement is (perhaps they merely said "He is not a suspect at this time") but my first assumption was that he must have been out of town, because I don't know how else someone you know getting murdered in your rental car doesn't result in being a suspect.

Hernandez not ruled out as a suspect, either.

    Interesting tidbits:

Hernandez has been "uncooperative" with the police.
The deceased is the boyfriend of Hernandez's girlfriend's sister, so they're vaguely connected.

I don't know, shit is looking shady early on. He may be cleared, but who knows at this point. Bill Bellichick can't be happy, though. This and Tebow attention? The New York circus is taking a detour to New England.

He shot someone in the face a few months ago?

I don't follow the Pats so maybe this isn't really news, but I hadn't heard it before.

Hernandez went from "not a suspect", to a "person of interest", to "about to be arrested in connection with..."

    Damn.

News helicopters just followed Hernandez from his house to Gillette Stadium. Sort of anti-climactic.

Why would you go to workout if you were about to go to prison? Wouldnt you rather go do something you wont be doing everyday for the next 15-20 years?

Like have semi consensual sex in a public shower room?

    Oh wait....

So Aaron had a cleaning crew in on Monday to scrub his house from top to bottom, destroyed his home security system and when the police showed up with a warrant he handed them a crushed cell phone.

Getting that tattoo that says "YEAH I FUCKING KILLED HIM!" was probably a mistake too.

Yeah, Hernandez is a grade-A idiot. I wonder if it was actually him or one of his drug buddies that did it. Either way I hope the truth comes out, and if it's him, he gets put away.
