Indeed it did. But for obstruction of justice. In all likelihood, he's going to lawyer up pretty fucking quickly but I'm willing to bet that a murder charge gets added to the obstruction charge in no time. Local news is unbelievable.
What the fuck? This makes me think maybe he's innocent, but either way he clearly doesn't understand the gravity of the situation.
Holy shit, let me get this straight: He was one of the last people seen with the victim. He destroyed his own security cameras. He destroyed his own cell phone. He hired cleaners to go through and clean his house. None of this screams "I am completely innocent." This screams "I JUST KILLED A DUDE, QUICK, HIDE EVERYTHING!" Obstruction of Justice seems pretty open and shut at this point. The real question is how long before Goodell brings down the banhammer on him? I don't think Hernandez sees even pre-season play this year, if ever again. Someplace, Gronk is shitting himself because he'll actually have to play this year. Pretty sure Gronk has more surgeries than Touchdowns at this point, and he was content to let Hernandez to the heavy TE lifting while he got drunk and had more surgeries. In terms of the NFL, the Patriots circus seems to only just be warming up. Parker? Paging Parker to the white courtesy phone.
Well, if we want to look at the bright side (fuck everything, seriously), the Pats might go back to the old ways of the 2001 season (my god, was it that long ago?) Hoomanawanui playing the Wiggings power blocking/5 yd route role, Amendola and Edelman catching the intermediate routes and Jenkins making a big play here and there. Lots of power football with Ridley and some Vereen thrown in. Shit at this point might as well see if they can sign Vonta Leach.
Parker is staring at a Fathead of Tom Brady with a belt around his neck, eyes glossed over with uncried tears.
I agree, obstruction is likely a slam dunk. But my hunch is it actually screams "Dude texted me and then came over to my house talking about how he killed Odin Lloyd!" Which is not that much better.
Oh, given the microscope this case will be under, and the fact that Hernandez will use the best, most expensive lawyers, the police and DA need to be careful and take their time to make sure they had everything they need. There is no way he won't be arrested eventually, they just want to have as much info as possible first.
I...I...I... got nothing about this guys. As soon as the story started coming in I went from "Oh fuck..." to "Shit, Aaron is going to be gone" to the following thought I had once the destruction of evidence came into play, and it was a really bad thought and I am very sorry. I can't believe I did was "Well maybe is his lawyer can claim that he was just cheating on his girlfriend this entire time and he destroyed all the evidence to prove that he was fucking her sister, her mother and all these other women...maybe he could get back in time for a pre-season game or two?" Yep, I'm going to hell and now know exactly what its like to be a Baltimore fan. I can't shine this turd, but I also don't think that Gronk is going to get rushed back. They can void Aaron's contract (only if he is convicted), they can't with Gronk. He's going to play eventually, maybe the Patriots can no-name scrub it for a few games but this depresses me deeply. I definitely think he did it, and he watched a lot of CSI to get away with some shit. They won't be able to prove, beyond all reasonable doubt that he killed a guy, but they are going to get him for obstruction of justice unless the DA fucks up badly. And oh no, those tears are flowing. I would love to see Tom Brady's reaction to all of this. Or hear something. This has to be fucking soul crushing, football wise.
Or, one of his homies killed a dude and he is trying to cover it up. (I know, people beat me to it.) Hernandez doesn't exactly strike me as a good judge of character. Well, the Pats no-name scrubbed it to a Super Bowl or three. So we'll see. We're most likely still making the playoffs this year, and anything can happen. I feel bad for Brady, for sure. His window's closing.
If he assisted in a cover up, what can he be charged with? It has to be more than obstruction, right? That should tack on some kind of conspiracy charge, maybe? Either way, I think he's looking at more time than Vick got, I don't know how his career recovers.
Re: Re: 2013 NFL Season I don't know anything about what he did but I doubt he does more time than Vick on a conspiracy and obstruction charge. People don't give a shit about killing other people but for fucks sake don't fuck with a animal.
Parker's running list of defenses for Aaron Hernandez. 1) He actually fumbled a nerf ball at home and was afraid footage was going to get back to Bill Belichick. Last time that happened Aaron Hernandez mysteriously injured his ankle. 2) Can't we just chalk this up to natural selection and move on? I mean, c'mon, people die right? 3) We're not looking at the upside of this, if we don't put him in jail, he becomes a God fearing man, inspirational figure and goes around America speaking to our youth. 4) The supposed victim's name was Odin, last time there was an Odin, he had a bunch of white people running around raping and pillaging entire countries. Aaron Hernandez is a hero and saved us all. 5) When was the last time a Lloyd did anything for us? Seriously? Ask yourselves without Googling...waiting, waiting...What? Frank Lloyd Wright doesn't count. He was a Frank and/or Wright. Maybe this man should have changed his name and would have been naturally selected to live. Who knows, we have no idea, everything is in the realm of reasonable doubt. I should look-up law schools with this wisdom.
Without Googling, Christopher Lloyd gave us the fantastic character of Doc Brown, not to mention Reverend Jim on Taxi. Lloyd Dobler inspired teenage romantics everywhere to hold a boom box over their head and blast some Peter Gabriel. Lloyd Christmas is coming back for a second movie, almost 20 years to the day after the first. And Tebow will have problems moving to TE like this:
