Phillip Seymour Hoffman. http://online.wsj.com/home-page
I wish it was a fucking heart attack, NY Daily says he had a needle in his arm. Drug overdose. Fuck, now they're going to have to replace him in the third and fourth Hunger Games movies...
Wrap has a slightly better write-up: http://www.thewrap.com/philip-seymour-h ... nt-report/ I did not see that coming. You know he put a lot of effort into his addiction, because I've never seen a junkie that overweight. He was serious. Read he just got out of rehab too. If anyone wants to be wowed, watch Capote, then Doubt. Tell me that's the same guy. Major, major talent. He could also play a great slimeball.
Its not just an exaggeration due to tragedy, but he's honestly one of the top 5 actors of this generation, this is fucking terrible. His range was absolutely insane. He could clearly carry films in heavy roles, he did plenty of supporting, character actor work, and had some hilarious turns in comedic roles. Just a massive bummer. Addiction is brutal. Its easy to think about it as the problem of burnouts or young, crazy musicians, but clearly this shows different. An extremely successful man with a wife and 3 kids. Fuck heroin man.
She was really talented, the first true child star; and because it was early was the only child star never to be driven into becoming an moody, unpredictable lunatic.
Ralph Waite: Matriarch of the Waltons is the nex to go. The old guys are dropping like flies, and Abe Vigoda still lives. He looked a thousand years old in The Godfather, for Christ's sake!
Abe Vigoda is still alive? How the fuck is that even possible? Does anyone else think it's strange that the only thing on abevigoda.com is his status?
I WILL NOT STOP VOTING FOR ABE VIGODA UNTIL HE FADES INTO THE BOTTOMLESS PIT OF THE INFINITE VOID SO HELP ME BABY BREAKDANCING JESUS CHRIST You gotta go, Fish. You even beat Dick Clark. Release.
Devo guitarist Bob Casale. Kind of sad as it was sudden and sounds like he was on the road to recovery. He was 61.
