That's almost as bad as people about 10 years ago who wouldn't shut up about the Patriots and constantly wore these stupid fucking hats all year long. On a completely unrelated note, Parker, what size exactly are your men's Uggs?
Look here, don't get all butthurt. I said I don't like the Cowboys being a bad team, which means, I like when they're doing well. It's good to have "America's Team" be in the mix. And I don't have any Uggs, but I do need new shoes, so if you could, please find out what type Brady endorses and order me a 12. Thanks.
I've been bitching about my team being shit for many a year now. I'm going to enjoy this while it lasts(which may not be that long). And yes, I had one of those back in the day.
Dallas played like 2013 Seattle and Seattle played like 2013 Dallas (fans were begging Garrett not to abandon the run the last couple years). Great game.
I dont know how much is Harbaugh and how much is Greg Roman, but my god the Niners tried to give that game away last night. Fortunately the Rams suck, but up 10 in the 4th, 1st and goal from the 4, after Kap KILLED the Rams most of the half, they choose 3 terrible gut runs after an incomplete pass? I realize the Rams run D is bad, but the Niners didn't have much success running the ball all night, and to take it out of your star QB's hands there is absolutely baffling. What definitely is on Harbaugh is the decision to not kick a FG on 4th and 1 with 4 min left and run another stupid draw play which got stuffed and allowed the Rams to make it a 1 score game. The pick 6 made it all moot (and covered the over, hurrrah!) but it was some abysmal game management in the 4th in a game that shouldn't have been close in the least.
Disclosure: I didn't watch the game due to feeling like a bag of ass, but it looks to me that these decisions were at least defensible. I have no problem with San Francisco believing that they could have gained one yard in three tries with their running game. I have even less of a problem to go for it in that situation. Even if you turn it over on downs, St. Louis now has to drive 99 yards and score twice to tie. If they don't, you get pretty good field position if they go 3 and out (which they ended up doing). If I'm Vic Fangio, I'm not worried about a second year QB starting his 4th game scoring 10 points in 6 minutes. That's a tall order for any QB, let alone Austin Davis. They absolutely played that correctly.
I dont think it was so much the decisions to go for it on 4th, as the way they did, which is part of my above point. Gore had less than 40 yds, Hyde had about 10. Half of the Niners' rushing yards were on Kaepernick designed rollouts or scrambles. They were not winning at the line of scrimmage, so the decision to go away from what was working (aka the STL secondary being a mess and the inability of the Rams D to put a spy on Kaepernick) is what made it so bizarre. So not to be snarky, but not seeing the game is what makes it seem less egregious than it was. Cause the Rams actually took away the Niners' strength, which is running the ball, and got smoked through the air and in play action.
I have a feeling Rex Ryan is going to be gone by the end of the season. I really don't think he's the problem in New York, but when a team keeps falling short owners tend to fire the head coach first, regardless of the circumstances. When Gus Bradley gets fired I'm going to laugh my ass off. Maybe he isn't a good coach because that team sure as hell looks incompetent, but you cannot expect someone to win with that trash roster.
I agree. He's been kinda a sitting duck all year, because he was probably gone unless they made the playoffs. And this Jets team was never gonna make the playoffs. They're running the ball reasonably well, and they're actually pretty good on defense, which is his forte! 8th against the run, 15th against the pass. Their per attempt numbers are also respectable: 6th and 18th. That's remarkable given that their secondary is absolute trash.. They're starting no-names at cornerback, a rookie at FS, and a suspended dude at SS. Geno just isn't keeping the defense off the field, and they're never gonna win the TO battle with him. He's singlehandedly torpedoing the entire Jets season. At least someone will get a great defensive coordinator next year.
I demand to know what blackmail Ninkovich has on Belichick. It sure is fun to watch your starting DE get blocked 5 yards off the ball 9 out of 10 dropbacks. Fuck.
I've read that Seattle is getting at least a conditional pick. Ranging from a 2nd to 4th. I guess they really wanted the cap space for Jesus Wilson's contract next year.
I don't understand this trade at all. Harvin must be a complete asshole or something. Crazy talent and to be traded now... I just don't get it.
The OC can't find a way to use him and at the same time he punched Golden Tate before the Super Bowl. He has anger management issues according to a slew of reports on Profootballtalk.com
You guys probably haven't heard much about it, but one of Australia's best Rugby League players has quit his million dollar per year contract (that's the highest you could possibily get paid in our sport/country) to attempt at getting a trial with an NFL team. The guy is easily one of our country's best athletes, and if anyone could make it, it'd be him. But he's 27/28 now, so I just can't see it happening. Although our media is reporting that Reggie Bush has got him a trial at the Lions. Anyway, it's pretty exciting stuff. Not only for a fan of both sports like myself, who's tried to compare players of both, but also in terms of generating interest in the NFL over here in Australia, which has seemed to skyrocket in the last few years.
Maybe this will make it a little easier to understand: 2009: 60 rec, 790 yards, 6 TD 2010: 71 rec, 868 yards, 5 TD 2011: 87 rec, 967 yards, 6 TD 2012: 62 rec, 677 yards, 3 TD 2013: 1 rec, 17 yards, 0 TD 2014: 22 rec, 133 yards, 0 TD Everyone's always raved about Harvin's athleticism, but his output is mediocre for a receiver even when he's healthy - which as we all know has always been in issue with him. 2011 was his best year, but the numbers he put up that year are more in line with what you'd expect from a top-shelf TE than a wide receiver. And again, that was his best year. So, he wasn't just traded because he's an asshole, he was traded because he's an asshole who really isn't all that great. I'd say more like the poor-man's Rajon Rondo of the NFL.
