Funny thing is Suh just got named like most charitable NFL player or something. It's weird. Ephraim Salaam when he was doing the podcast on Grantland talked about how he had to type himself into a psychopath to play football before every single game. I think that might have something to do with it. You gotta get turnt up to go out there and be a football guy. You're not running around thinking about teddy bears and cotton candy. At the same time, not everyone is out there trying to intentionally hurt other players and get dirty shots in. It's just so weird to put these two disparate behaviors together. Maybe all the charitable work is a compensation, like Dexter bringing in donuts.
Or so that dumb advertisers that don't actually watch NFL games and just look at stats will keep giving him endorsements because of his "charitable" nature.
Before that last Cardinals drive that finally got them on the board, I was about to say that Arizona had no chance with Lindley, but then he drove them down the field for a TD. Then the Panthers missed a point blank field goal. This game might not suck...
I don't understand why everyone shits on the cardinals. They had a very good season with one of the toughest schedules in the league. I remember when they were fucking 9-1 and everyone was talking about how they were going to miss the playoffs. I don't think they will win the super bowl, but I won't be surprised at all if they win this game. That being said, they're pretty lucky to have 14 points with only 65 yards of offense so far. And yeah Lindley sucks, but Newton is really overrated and it's showing in this game.
Well looks like Lindley did manage to single handedly tank the cards with his shittiness. It's pretty hard to win when you get under 100 years of offense. The defense really gave him some opportunities.
The Cardinals are great, except for their quarterback. You saw it in this game, very sad. Also, the Big Ben fucked the Steelers hard this game. They had so many chances to win. They should have left the back-up in. Also being conservative hurt them early.
Is it me or is Cam Newton really banged up? He looks like he is carrying a knee or ankle problem the way he is throwing off his back foot every time.
You know who has the most insufferable fans in the goddamn world. BALTIMORE. Goddamn I hate when they win, now that I live here.
I noticed the same thing. He looked like he was about to topple over after every down, I just don't see him holding up much longer.
I grew up with the Steelers so I come by it honestly and expect shitty attitudes from Baltimore fans towards me, but I do think they trend towards obnoxious more so than most other fan bases. I agree that the conservative play calling doomed them in the first half. At least two of those field goals should've been touchdowns and Ben should've remained on the sidelines for at least the remainder of the series after he was hurt. Gradkowski was moving the ball just fine and I think he added an unknown element which threw off the Ravens D late in the 4th.
If anyone wants a direct Fox satellite feed of the Lions/Cowboys game, let me know... just need to open it up in VLC... no ads, no commercials, etc.
I don't know if Detroit can drive the field and win this game, but if they do Lawrence is going to have nightmares about coughing that ball back up. For myself the first 3 wild card games kind of sucked so I'm just happy this one has been at least entertaining. Hoping the lions pull it out as I would much rather play Carolina next week.
No kidding... why he didn't just fall on it and hang on is a question I'm sure he'll be asking himself for a long time. It would be great to see the Lions win this, but really they've played like shit for the last half so deserve to lose.
And Detroit can mark off another year without a playoff win. Not going to lie, pretty nervous about playing Dallas next week. I'm guessing the spread opens with GB being 2-3 points favorites. It's a game that could really go either way. The packers are probably going to need a lot of points to win so I hope they have the problems they had the last few games of the season worked out.
