I'm happy Romo got to shake the playoff monkey off his back. I really had nothing invested in either team, I just think that Romo gets shit on a lot for terrible reasons and he had a great season.
LOL! Homo can't even win unless the stupid zebras throw his team a call. Bet old balls Jerry Jones paid them off. Just like Bill Belicheat, can't win without cheating! There. Better?
People will keep shitting on him until he wins a super bowl. It was a great win, but it's still a wild card win. Of course it's ridiculous to base the entire team's results solely on the QB, but if someone hates a player that's good it's the only metric they'll use. Romo's worst seasons are above average and his better seasons have been elite caliber play. It has been kind of funny to see him constantly trashed when there hasn't been a single point in his career when he wasn't one of the better players in the league at his position. Compare that to someone like Dalton who has been about average with a big fat 0-4 in the playoffs. No one jumps on that because no one gives a shit about the bengals.
Really? I didn't really see any coverage of the CIN-IND game that didn't say the Bengals needed to dump Lewis and Dalton. Nevermind that they were playing without their best three receiving options, all three starting linebackers, and their right tackle. Also somehow they went from first to worst in sacks despite having the same d-line. Romo gets it worse because ESPN built him up in the beginning, then pivoted hard to the underachieving storyline.
All the news is talking about is the possibility for the fans in Seattle to set off seismic monitors again. Well that and the college football championship. I'm just ready for 3 days of, hopefully, good games.
Oh bring it on. I've heard so much shit talking nothing phases me anymore. The only part of the smack talk that gets under my skin...well there's two things actually. The first is when it's spewing out the mouth of an idiot that only even watches once the play offs begin. The second when they say something to the effect of hoping a certain player on any given team theirs is playing gets knocked out of the game with an injury. Newsflash, if your team is not playing against the best the opposing team has to offer they aren't playing to the best of their abilities as a team on either side of the ball, fuckface. I hate that shit.
I was thoroughly shocked that Carolina gave Seattle a decent game. That final score does not show how close that game was. I was expecting a 44-3 drubbing not the game I saw. However, Goddamn some of the officiating was ludicrous. They kicked the same Goddamned field goal 3 times? And they called for holding on an incomplete pass where the intended receiver was fifteen yards away? Why, for fuck's sakes? I watched the Pats game and was stunned at Revis' play. Does he normally just get away with that much shit?
It's mainly because I hate him and will use any small mistake to justify my anger every time I see his highly-punchable face. Same thing with Rodgers.
Rex Ryan to Buffalo. Sigh. Was hoping they'd go for an offensive minded head coach who would develop EJ Manuel or at least put together plays that don't involve running it up the gut with a shifty RB twice, a desperate long pass, and a punt. Now we have a stellar defense, a very good defensive coordinator, and a defensive minded coach. Here's hoping Rex finds a great OC, otherwise it's going to be another season of incredibly tepid offense behind a defense that is playing their hearts out.
As a Patriots fan that watched him in a Jets uniform for a long time, yes he does. That PI was a bit iffy given the touching the WR was doing back, but that's part of the veteran play he brings to the table. Great that he's doing it in a Pats uniform. All the good "shutdown" corners get away with the same general level of stuff.
God I hope fucking Wilson and Co. destroy the Packers next week. But in all fairness, this is a LOT farther than I thought My Beloved Cowboys would get when the season started. The offseason should be interesting (and not necessarily in a good way) with Bryant, Murray, Garrett etc.
Great game. I'm not sure about the Dez Bryant catch that wasn't. I think the refs called it right as the rules are written, but if you ask me it was a catch, as he secured it and then it bobbled after hitting the ground only when he extended to the goal line. The game wouldn't have been over with a Dallas TD there, but it sure helped. I'm kind of surprised Dallas ran a play like that on 4rth and 2 as well. Either way I'll take it. I like GB's chances at beating Seattle. Rodgers will have another week to heal his calf, and good defense or no they're going to put up points.
Right ruling, I suppose, just a horseshit rule. (And yea I'm a Bears fan but the Calvin Johnson game was the first fucking game of the season, and he went straight down. If Bryant caught that at the 10, he goes straight down and its a catch.) The only way the Packers beat Seattle is if they play perfect and Rodgers has one of his best games. Even healed, he's not gonna be 100%. That D-line will cause ALOT of issues.
