So is Peyton done? He looked done.

Not only did he look done, he looked like he knew it. The two early over throws to Emanuel Sanders? Peyton's face was like, yep, those were the only two deep throws I had in the tank.

I'll bank on it. And I'm a Bronco's fan since Elway was the QB.

I think if Manning knew they were all geared up to make another run he'd try it again, but with the way they went out, and with the questions and FA's in the offseason, I think he'll just hang it up. He already set all the records. Just walk away while you're still Peyton Manning, one of the best QBs of all time, not Peyton Manning, "he kept trying for one more."

    Relax, and enjoy that pizza.

Yeah, I'm seeing the highlights again, I think he knows. That wasn't Peyton Manning I saw, he doesn't miss those throws twice a game.

I am sooo sick of all the Cowboys fans whining, and all the nonsense discussing the ruling on the sports shows. Apart from that catch, Dallas last scored a touchdown with about 4 minutes left in the 3rd quarter that put them up 21-13. After that, Green Bay scored on their next two consecutive drives of 90 and 80 yards, in 2 1/2 and 4 1/2 minutes. Dallas punted in between when they didn't convert on 3 and 23. And, it was fourth down on a stalled drive, when Romo threw the pass to Bryant. Even if Bryant's drop is ruled a catch, and even if you assume Romo doesn't botch something up to keep Dallas from scoring from the one, the Packers have over 4 minutes and two timeouts left to march down the field. Again. The Packers hadn't punted since their first drive of the second half.

I don't understand why everybody's assuming that if Bryant's catch is complete that that somehow means the Cowboys would've won.

Why does the assumption need to be that the Cowboys would definitely have won, just to be frustrated and upset over the go-ahead touchdown with <5 minutes left in the game being overturned?

Doesn't have to be. If I were a Cowboys fan, I would be frustrated at the call, for sure. But, the "pundits" aren't spending any time on any of the other frustrations as game changers, like, Murray's fumble, or, Bailey's field goal gets blocked, resulting in a FG for GB at the end of the first half (a six point swing, which was more than the game margin) or the fact that the Cowboys big bad defense didn't stop the Packers on their last 4 drives. There is a lot more legitimate blame to go around besides the ref's making the correct call based on the rules.

I'm sad to say I agree with this. I don't think anyone can go into that place and win. They are playing like a championship team once again.

This is just fucking great. Now I have a full week of listening to Seahawk spewage. Rodgers is banged up and if 2 weeks didn't help that much it's doubtful one will.

I wanted to see the Pats and Seattle both go down in flames. FAIL. Fuck.

Down in flames? Aaron Rodgers wishes he could eat the dingleberries off Tom Bradys butt hole.

The second best quarterback in the NFL? Julian Edelman. Fact.

If you wanted to see someone go down in flames, just go watch Peytons highlight reel from that game.

Didn't realize its still 2003. Aaron Rodgers on one leg is still faster than claymation Brady.

No idea what you're talking about. Brady accounted for more than half of the Patriots rushing yards and has a rushing TD. That's a goddamn gazelle right there. You shut your whore mouth.

Well, according to the stat line he netted zero yards rushing, which was almost half of the Patriot's rushing yards in that game.

Well yeah, when you factor the sack or two he took, but if you take those out, and count when he was actually rushing.

Next week should be a great game. So very excited.

As a Broncos fan, I yelled and screamed when they signed Manning. Again and again the guy gets his team to the playoffs, only to fold like a cheap suitcase during the playoffs. Why, oh why, am I the only one that sees this?

So instead they fire Fox as coach? I didn't see him out there lobbing passes that my dead grandmother could have thrown. Yes, I know he's injured, but there's always some reason he doesn't perform up to his regular season performances during the playoffs. I think Manning seems like a nice guy, and I wouldn't laugh at someone for bringing up his name in the greatest of all time conversation, but I really hope he retires and Denver can move on and find a franchise QB somewhere.

Probably because it's a completely bullshit narrative based on tiny sample sizes, that ranks right up there with Tony Romo's reputation of not being able to win the big game.

You have 256 career starts of Peyton Manning on which to judge his performance. Taking less than 10% of those as a sample size is ridiculous. All time his passer rating in the playoffs is top-15 and higher than Tom Brady's.

Please, though, tell me more about how you were right to yell and scream when they signed a quarterback that led your team to a 38-10 record, 3 first round byes in the playoffs, #2, #1 & #4 rankings in points per game, and a superbowl.

Yep, that's why he never won a super bowl. Oh right, he did. I posted his playoff stats earlier in this thread. They're very good, and I don't know why you don't get he's one starter out of 24.

Did you seriously suggest they keep Fox and dump Manning? Dump Manning? And get some scrub back up or start a rookie, and you think that's going to give them a better chance to win the super bowl next year? I can't even.

This is as dumb as when people called for cutting Brady at the beginning of the season. The man got them to three playoffs and a Super Bowl while putting together one of the greatest three year statistical stretches in modern quarterback history, but he needs to be booted? Man, I thought we Patriots fans were supposed to be the unrealistic/ungrateful ones.

I had to laugh when I saw Timbo was in the booth. I laughed more when he was one of the readers of Mean Tweets on Kimmel.

I hope Peyton is done for his own sake. I think he'd make a great coach in some capacity.
