Actor and heavy metal musician Christopher Lee.... https://uk.yahoo.com/movies/sir-chr...3-121264486661.html?soc_src=mags&soc_trk=copy
Very sad. He and best friend Peter Cushing were the face of Hammer Horror, Lee was the ultimate Dracula and busted his ass in the entertainment industry well into his 90's. He's a legend, respected and loved by all and a true loss to movies.
James Horner, composer of soundtracks for Titanic, Braveheart, and a shitload of other films, in a plane crash. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/james-horner-dead-titanic-composer-804365
He, Hans Zimmer and Alan Silvestri are the best film composers of the modern era as far as I'm concerned. He also did the amazing score for Krull, Tales from the Crypt, Willow, Where The River Runs Black, Avatar, and especially Aliens; which I consider to be one of the best and most frightening scores ever made. Very sad. I was indeed a huge fan of this guy. Tell me you still don't have that Celtic hook from Braveheart stuck in your head.
I won't talk down about Williams, but I look at him like The Beatles: I will forever love and respect his catchiness and widespread acclaim, he's just not my favourite and I don't think he's as good as the ones I mention. Horner's music scores shake the fucking earth.
The last active originally employee of the NBA has died at 93. Fittingly, he worked for the 76ers, proving once and for all that they were trying to tank.
Patrick McKnee, who played uber-cool John Steed on The Avengers. 93 years old. ...for you Game of Thrones fans, that's Lady Olenna (Queen of Thorns) as Emma Peel in the photo. She was damn hot.
That'd be Patrick Macnee (seen him credited as that multiple times). He also correctly predicted that Diana Rigg (pictured in Crown's post) would receive a knighthood for services to acting.
I'm gonna be listening to a whole helluva lot of Fish Out of Water. Phenomenal album featuring bass guitar as a lead instrument. This'll make the legal status if Yes interesting since he was the only consistent member throughout the years.
One of my childhood crushes Amanda Peterson who starred in the wonderful teen movie Can't Buy Me Love. Sad.
Ken Stabler, my favorite football player as a kid, dead at 69. http://espn.go.com/blog/oakland-rai...lamboyant-ken-stabler-belongs-in-hall-of-fame
