That whistle was bullshit, but probably wouldn't be a touchdown. Amendola is allergic to the end zone, I'm still mad about him not getting in for that return last week. It was a butt clenching game. Also, I like Tyrod, just not against my team.
It wouldn't even have been close to a touchdown. If you watch the replay you see the Bills players pull up short when the whistle goes off. It's probably still a catch but it appears like the corner changes his position at the whistle too. There were a couple big time officiating mistakes last night. The inadvertent whistle is obviously stupid and shouldn't happen, but even then they didn't get it right - the whistle was blown while the ball was in the air, which makes it a dead ball and you repeat the down. Watkins was not touched at the end of the game, so he should have been out of bounds with another couple seconds on the clock. Anyway. The Bills had that game in hand, just couldn't close the deal. There were at least two easy TDs left on the field and the defense was swarming last night - it gave me great joy to watch Brady ranting in a spit-flecked rage at his offensive line. Patriots doing what they do best - grind the game out to the last second and don't make many mistakes.
Can we talk about how fucking great Tom Brady is right now? WHO DOES HE HAVE PLAYING FOR HIM ANYMORE? It's fucking insane. My god, if everyone was healthy this would be insane. Love how once again, Patriots pull James White out of nowhere and he makes plays. They're literally pulling guys off their couches and getting them first downs, it's incredible. Spoiler: Truth
15 of his 20 completions and 220 of his 275 yards were to Amendola, Lafell, and Gronkowski. He's not throwing to Megatron and Jerry Rice, but those 3 have been in the mix all year. And James White is a 4th round pick from a year ago who was just a victim of RB depth on a team who shuffles them around like cards. Its not like he was a scrub from Altoona St they grabbed off the street this week. The system is impressive and that was a good win, but lets not get out of pocket.
Johnny Football benched for partying I wonder whose decision this really was to bench him. Because I can't see how benching him improves the actual Browns football team.
I don't think it really makes a difference between Manziel or McCown starting, and I think the Browns are getting tired of him continuing to act like a dipshit. The 2016 Browns quarterback is not currently on that roster. This should be a pretty good draft class for quarterbacks, too, depending on who declares.
Connor Shaw? I'm obviously very, very biased, but I would like to see him get a real shot at it. He picked a bad year to fuck his thumb up, he would have gotten a couple of starts at least this year I would think.
Well, the packers offense really is falling apart. So much for super bowl hopes this year. They'll probably still get into the playoffs, but if these last few weeks are any indication they aren't going deep.
What a ridiculous win for the Bears. Ridiculous because if you told me that they were going to win, I would have assumed 35-32 or something random. And certainly wouldn't have predicted a 4 down stand within the 10 yard line. Loved seeing Rodgers making errors people gleefully predicted Cutler would make coming in, and loved doing it on Brett Favre night. The Bears aren't going to make the playoffs, but they also aren't going to get a top 5 pick either. So a victory like this is extra sweet. Though again, John Fox being completely conservative as hell with a lead late in the game almost fucked them again.
Well, if Atlanta continues melting down and the Bears can keep winning they'll have a decent shot. Minnesota and Atlanta are the only two non-division leaders that have winning records right now.
