Sigh. Same old Bills. Hold the Ravens to a single touchdown but can't score enough to take advantage. Put up 31 points against a great defense in the Jets, but allow 37 points.
On my way home last night, the last thing I heard on the sportstalk show was something like, "I'm not sure, but I think the Bills pull this one out by a small margin. It won't be 35-34 or anything; probably 13-10." I don't really care about either of those teams, but that was quite entertaining.
God damn that was a good game last night. Suck it, Pack. Suck it long and hard. Sam Bradford, QB solution for the purple and gold? Who knew? The AP injury doesn't make me happy, but we're 2-0 with basically no running game so far, so I'm feeling good.
I don't know where in the fuck Rodgers head was at last night but it wasn't on that field on Minnie. He played like shit. He looked like everyone expected Bradford to look. Just terrible. I will say congrats on the new venue. It's really nice...well except for the part that when exiting the field they have to walk through a restaurant. I'm sure AP appreciated that.
Rodgers was bad, but McCarthy was worse. Down 3 against a mediocre offense, 4 and 1 from the 12, and you go for it? And not only do you go for it, but with your backup RB? Fucking insanely bad. Speaking of insanely bad, I had no expectations for the Bears this year, but glad to see I can take Sunday's off from giving a shit this year. No depth, a bunch of injuries, a defense lacking in real talent. My god the front office has drafted abysmally for 5+ years. Cutler isn't going to lead a team to a Super Bowl, but a borderline bad team with him is a miserable team with fucking Brian Hoyer.
I would commend the Patriots on a good game without their starting: Quarterback, Running Back, Offensive Tackle and Linebacker but nobody wants to hear that. Separately, I don't follow football nearly as close as I used to but I thought that the Texans were supposed to be good this year? I really would have a hard time believing O'Brien and Rick Smith keep their jobs unless the Texans at least clear the wildcard round of the playoffs. They spent some serious money in the off season retooling and this game was not a good showing at all. The Patriots are not that good.
Texans had an awful game plan, and Osweiler was even worse than that. Captain Checkdown and looked terrible doing even that. And gifting the Patriots the ball twice inside the 30 off of KO returns is just a recipe for disaster. Brutal effort. Texans just gave up
That game was horrible. I was waiting to see Edelman throw the ball. At least I didn't pick Houston again this year after they screwed me last year.
You may still get the chance. There are reports that Brissett needs surgery https://twitter.com/Trags/status/779385135774982145
Well, Carson Palmer threw 4 INTs.... Not to be outdone, Fitzpatrick said, "I'll see your 4 and raise you." 6 interceptions in one game. How the fuck does that even happen?
I was unaware of this while it was going on, so all I saw was the box score. How in the hell did he not get pulled?
Better than who they originally approached, who had the self awareness to know she didn't fit a Superbowl Halftime Show: Adele.
What happened to the years of rock bands doing the half time show? Lady Gaga? Really? Is she even revelant anymore? meh Another year of half time show suckage. Give us some Foo Fighters or better yet Metallica. They are dropping their new one in November. I know they'd never do it but Jesus, Lady Gaga is the best they could do? It's football not an awards show. And last nights game was a snoozefest.
I like rock and Metallica's my favorite band, but honestly, their time has gone and past. Same with Foo Fighters. I don't have a problem with Lady Gaga; she's a pop star who's been relevant during this decade, so that seems appropriate enough. I heard for next year's halftime show it's going to be Rihanna, which also seems fine.
