I always love watching the gymnastics - both men and women. This year, though, holy cow do the "women" look like girls. Like they all pass for pre pubescent children. Kind of creepy. Also, I know nothing about rugby, but I wish I did. Our women's team looks SO good. Kicking some ass in Brazil.

Yeah, same as in car racing... paint on road is slippery as fuck. A number of bike racers have also been complaining about the lack of attachment of the curbs to the road... it seems there's just this big 2" gap where the road ends and then the curb begins. There have been a ton of bike crashes so far.

Mariafe Artacho del Solar, the Peruvian chick who played for the Aussies against Walsh/Ross last night had it covered in the butt department, and was super cute. Besides the aesthetic appeal, women's beach volleyball is super fun to watch as well.
You know you're big time when before your event even starts the announcer says, "it's a foregone conclusion she's going to win..." Katie Ladecky is a fucking monster. Just set the World Record time on the 400m Freestyle by almost 2 seconds, beating her nearest competitor by about 5 seconds. Just unreal. Beast.
I was just getting ready to write something similar. These athletes are the best of the best. Like, you think you're big time when you win your state championship in high school and set a record. And then, you can't even qualify for the Olympic team. Or, you qualify for your team, and somebody like Ladecky just is on another realm of ability. These other bests of the best were not even CLOSE to her in that race. Crazy.
