Today is the three year anniversary of Robin Williams passing... Out of all the celebrity deaths, his struck me the most profoundly and still does.
Billy was my favourite character in Predator. Landham played the laughing, evil henchman (or zen mentor) a thousand times over. Goodnight, Coyote. After Arnie and Ventura, he was the third Predator team member to run for governor, his was Kentucky. Kind of shanked his chances when he publicly called for the death of all Arabs.
Dick Gregory, black comedian and civil rights activist died yesterday. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dick_Gregory
He was 91 so I cannot be surprised. It is hard to realize that for most of the 1960s, he was the biggest star in movies.

"We can rebuild him. We have the technology. We can make him better than he was. Better, stronger, faster." Still one of the best shows ever - if you're judging from the memories when I was 6.
Fuck that. Not before they shoot MacGuyver Vs. Alien: "The Xenonorph will kill me in five seconds. I have this toothpick and bubblegum....must think fast..."

I think this one slipped by, but Nelson Ellis (Lafayette on True Blood) died back in July of alcohol withdrawal. Only 38 years old, too. Also, amazing actor Michael Nyqvist, star of the Millenium trilogy (Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, etc) trilogy. Died in June of lung cancer.
A good reminder to us all that too much of a good thing can hurt you and we all can't do everything on our own despite how much we may try or want to.
Former Major League player, manager, general manager and executive Gene 'Stick' Michael, best known as the architect of the Yankees' 1990s dynasty, died Thursday of a heart attack, announced Major League Baseball.
