I'm not sure it's that bad, but I do have trouble keeping up with how many toes he's had removed. Is it 2 or 3?
I love The Ref. People call it an “Anti-Christmas movie” but it’s freaking hilarious. All dialogue, like a filmed play and it’s constantly funny. Everyone in this movie is an asshole, but they are hilarious and you root for them.
In my Netflix recommended movies Schindler’s list was next to Ace Ventura in critically acclaimed movies. Ace Ventura had a 45% rating on rotten tomatoes. Not that anyone cares, but Ace was much funnier than I remember. Probably couldn’t be made today based on the number of gay and tranny jokes. Bra sure to watch.
Like him or not, Jim Carrey is a gifted comic. That “slow mo” scene in Ace Ventura was done improv, on the first take and was probably the funniest thing in the movie. He’s astonishing the way he can throw himself around a room.
I was contracted by a friend to make them a whole pastrami brisket for Hanukkah and dammit if this wasn't one of my best efforts yet. Spoiler
So comedy comes under attack again in the form of a Kevin Hart SNL monologue. Because y’know, jokes are serious business. Can comics outside the Cellar Crowd come forward and simply state “I’ll say whatever the fuck I want!”? Stop apologizing to these turds.
Exactly. When you address it you lend some credibility to it. Just ignore it like you would the rantings of a crazy person on the street.
It's the Holiday season, you two be nice. Also....I DID like the the inclusion of Jeb's (!). That always kills me. To the original point, though, I totally agree with those saying that comics ought ignore the haters and do their set....nothing is sacred in comedy.
Man I just found out an old coworker of mine passed away at 30 years old this weekend. Great guy that made the workday easier in all respects. Apparently, he donated his fantasy football winnings each year to doctors without borders. I hate people that so much better of a person than me.
