As I mentioned in the Video Game thread, TotalBiscuit just passed away due to cancer. https://twitter.com/GennaBain/status/999785407087808512 To get an example of his work, here's a very serious video he did about school shootings and the attempts to make them related to violent video games. Still relevant today. RIP John Bain... aka TotalBiscuit.

Suicide, I sure as fuck didn’t see that coming. Eric Ripert found him while they were filming in France.
Depression doesn't always show on the surface. I was depressed from 2011 to 2016 and most of my friends were surprised when I told them about it. That being said, what a shame. I saw him as the kind of person that everyone should strive to be.
GOD DAMNIT Now above all things I lose my favourite personality on TV. A person everybody should be more like. This sucks so much.
What the fuck. Jesus Christ this one is a shocker. Probably one of the few celebrities I actually admired.
I had read that he was battling demons for a while, and while this news totally SUCKS, I'm honestly not surprised that it was suicide.
As everyone else has said, this really sucks. Hit me especially hard as today is the 11 year anniversary of my dad passing away.
I'm always reminded that you only see the produced and edited side of someone's life, especially Bourdain's, and there is so much hidden away that we never even get a glimpse of. I can only suspect that the years of heavy drug use played a part, never mind the continued heavy drinking. Even worse, I feel for Eric, his long time best friend. If you've ever watched them climb mountains to go to their "cocoa tree farm" that they invested in, or driving around the French countryside together in Eric's WW2 era Citroen, or how Anthony tortured Eric with a hot pot dinner in Sichuan, you'll know how much they cared for each other. For Eric to be the one to find Anthony like that must be devastating for him. I have every Bourdain book and tv show, and I re-read and re-watch them often, and always look forward to a new episode as the highlight of my week. His was the best show on CNN, and the world is a better place thanks to him sharing his travels with us. This sucks.
That episode is one of my favourites by Bourdain. This one and the one where he goes up river in Borneo (I think) and killed the pig on the river for the village feast. Then he proceeded to get absolutely shattered on whiskey. Oh, and pretty much any episode where he's eating noodles. What a tragedy to lose him.
