Harlan Ellison https://variety.com/2018/tv/news/harlan-ellison-dead-dies-star-trek-1202861048/ I have read a couple short story collections of his. Unfortunately, none of his real famous ones (A Boy and His Dog, Repent, Harlequin Said the Tick Tock Man, and I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream) Interesting guy to read about. Apparently one of the most curmudgeonly, abrasive people. He wrote (and promptly threw a fit) a spec treatment for the Star Trek TOS episode "City on The Edge of Forever". He successfully sued James Cameron over Terminator (claiming it stole ideas from some of his stories) earning him a special credit. I don't think he really did much in recent years, aside from being an asshole. But I did enjoy what little of his I managed to read.

For those of you who used to watch old school WWF, Jim 'The Anvil' Neidhart of the Hart Foundation. https://globalnews.ca/news/4384500/jim-neidhart-dead/
That guy had the greatest laugh ever next to Tom Araya. He was a real elite pro athlete too, played in the NFL. No pro wrestler dies from old age. I have yet to see it.
Goodbye Queen of Soul. I am truly amazed you survived this long given how fucking massive you were. Still, one of the most angelic voices ever. Bonifide legend.
I thought the same. I remember that show and his hilarious chainsaw snarl of an accent. It was a massive hit, people crowded around their wood-panelled TVs to envy wealthy, weird assholes.
Holy shit that was fast... I heard only yesterday that he was stopping his treatment. Had a lot of respect for him in the end. When asked how he wanted to be remembered: "He served his country," McCain said. "And not always right, made a lot of mistakes. Made a lot of errors. But served his country, and I hope you could add honorably." I'm really not looking forward to the Trump response.
