Fuck everything as long as the Dodgers lose. I’d cheer for the Yankees over them. If the Dodgers and Cards ever play for the pennant, I will believe that Satan exists.
Interesting little tidbit: The Dodgers 4 top HR hitters are Muncy, Bellinger, Pederson, and Grandal. None of them were in the starting line up Tuesday night, the first time a ream has benched their top 4 HR producers in the WS. The second time it happened was Wednesday. I'm thinking if LA loses this series, Roberts may find himself looking for employment.
Walker Buehler has ice water in his veins. The Dodgers trusted him with game 163....win or go home, then trusted him with game 7 of the NLCS...win or go home. And now tonight. The kid is a rookie. If he doesn't get hurt somewhere along the line, he's going to be something special.
Fuuuuuuuuck. I had an early day today and couldn’t make it through the whole game. Eovaldi worked as hard and long as he could, and the offense didn’t help him. When Kinsler got tagged out at home, my first thought was “you gotta go for it, it’s the 10th and it’s the World Series.” A few innings later I reversed my stance. I just want the Sox to take one game at least in LA. Don’t let them sweep, get home with two games to close it out. Winning it in LA would be better. But damn, that was a momentum shift.
Don't feel bad, I only made it to about the 13th before I had to pack it in. Tonight should be interesting since both teams pretty much burned their pens, if a starter gets in trouble early it could get really ugly.
Red Sox go to Rodriguez with zero days rest. Granted, he only pitched a third of an inning last night, but that shows you their faith in Pomeranz - the only player other than Sale to not play last night.
YES. Steve Pearce is another feel good story for the Sox this year. Guy has played for every team in the AL East, and finally gets a shot with the Sox, his family’s favorite team. Journeyman veteran who fits in any clubhouse, but doesn’t usually attract enough attention to stay long. Betts and Martinez need to get out of their mini-slumps, but the whole lineup is relentless. And now they have three games to win one, with two at home. And supposedly, Eovaldi told Cora this morning before Game 4 that he was ready to go. Cora replied “your agent is gonna kill me.”
They were destined to win the series this year. 119 wins. Unreal. Boston went almost 24 months without a championship. I was getting worried.
Dodger fans are vying for their share of the title of "Shittiest fans" Red Sox Fan Recovering After Assault by Dodgers Fans Add this to their list of accomplishments along with beating a paramedic in Giant's gear into retardation.
I dunno...he seems to be breaking down. If they get classic Kershaw for 3 years at $31M a year, it's probably a great deal. But he's 31 years old with a history of back problems, diminishing velocity, and a few years removed from throwing even close to 200 innings. It's a hard call to make. I guess if you can afford it, why not?
That’s a shame. I was hoping they’d lose him, then hopefully the stadium would burn down with a capacity crowd trapped inside. They’d be so much less hated if they had a stadium that wasnt in the vicinity of some of the worst people in America. I don’t know why a city so big —that has had real sports championship success— has such utter, unflinching contempt for every sports fan that lives there. Let’s build stadiums, but don’t put in in safe or convenient places, no, let’s build them in the centre of one million lowlifes who would kill you for half a pack of smokes.
Can't wait to see this move in MLB next year! https://scontent-atl3-1.cdninstagra...121_291677465014798_1481614862143455232_n.mp4
This would be funnier if there weren’t over one million subspecies of beetle already. Does it have an impossible looking five-o’clock shadow or something? To be a legend in baseball you need a disease named after you. Like Lou Gerrig’s disease or Roberto Colon Cancer.
Goddamnit.... http://mlb.nbcsports.com/2018/12/05/cardinals-acquire-paul-goldschmidt-from-diamondbacks/
