    It will be a super sad day when he passes.


    Ive not watched many of Connery's Bonds. Im just not a huge Bond fan. From my youth I think Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade is my favorite movie of his. He was offered Gandalf in Lord of the Rings plus a percentage of the gross but declined. Probably the most lucrative decline in the history of Hollywood.

    No McKellen is Gandalf. He isnt as an imposing figure as Connery is which was perfect for the role. Connery would have been wrong for it but boy he'd have made a lot of money. Though given he just up and retired after League of Extraordinary Gentlemen he probably saved well. He didnt go into Robert Deniro payday mode and ruin his career.

    Puts shit in perspective doesnt it? Towering personality that's always just kind of been there my whole life. Clint is 90 and Mel Brooks is 94. I dont want to live in a world without either of those two but it's coming.
