That's putting it mildly. Highly recommend his autobiographies. Him and Jack Ridley are two of my lifetime heroes. RIP indeed.
Damn. Superman isn't supposed to die. In WWII he achieved ace status in one day shooting down 5 Me109s.

I thought nothing could kill Zeus. Besides having an instantly recognizable look, the guy was a great character actor.
Wikipedia said it could have been a double dose of covid. The whole bike scene is why he’s the level of star he was.
He performed at the maskless CMA awards. They said everyone was covid tested and yada yada yada, but there's already been a lot of backlash about that, and if it comes out that he got it from there, it's going to be really fucking bad for them.
My mom always like to tell the story of my father (Born and raised in Mississippi) coming home angry one day, after a while she finally coerced the reason out of him...he'd just found out that Charlie Pride was black. He eventually got over it.
I didn’t know he was until he performed at the Western Fair here in town. I had no idea black guys his age sang outlaw-style country. Yep, his spy novels are excellent and he was a spy himself. One of the adaptations of his work, A Most Wanted Man, is one of the best spy movies I’ve ever seen.
