There a true legend and showman. Insane, yes. He may have been the first person to use craziness to enhance music. He popularized soul and funk. When I think of musical pioneers, this guy was the guy. The butterfly effect from his influence gave so much great music.
Damn. Never got the opportunity to see them, wanted to but couldn't get tickets when I was in Vegas and had no desire to go back. Death was COVID-related. Wonder what Little Richard's cause of death was?
Little Richard was truly the Father of real rock 'n roll. Not Elvis. Not Chuck Berry. Little Richard had the attitude, the pipes, and the presentation. The first high octane performer. He was a huge influence for me.
Jerry Stiller NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Father of Ben Stiller and George Costanza. 92 is a great run though.
nooooo!!!! Waiting for Guffman is one of the greatest movies ever. Christopher Guest is a genius, and everyone should watch all of his movies in Willard's honor tonight.
Willard’s funniest role had to be Best In Show. Once again Guest gives him zero lines to work with as the “celebrity guest announcer”, and every single thing he said was hilarious. One of the funniest supporting roles ever.
Ken Osmond, who is most famous for playing Eddie Haskell on Leave it to Beaver: https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/ken-osmond-leave-it-to-beaver-star-dead I am sad to hear. I saw probably every episode of that show on TV Land with my parents when I was a kid, and my parents very astutely gave my best friend growing up the nickname "Eddie Haskell" after the first time he came over to our house. RIP.
He was TV’s first jackass character. His voice could kill a lab rat in ten seconds. All the others spawned from him: Ralph Malph, Horshack, Boner, Costanza... Like you said, any annoying kid from the neighbourhood would get referenced to Eddie if it were the 20th century.
Wes Unseld dead at 74. He was a Hall of Fame center for the Washington Bullets/Wizards at 6'7" at a time that you had Bob Lanier, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Wilt Chamberlain, Nate Thurmond among others. Not a favorite of mine but he could set a pick and position for a rebound better than maybe anyone in any era.
Way late with this one. Sam Lloyd who played the character Ted on Scrubs. I loved that show. https://www.tvguide.com/news/scrubs-actor-sam-lloyd-dies-at-56/
Kurt Thomas who almost single handed took American gymnastics to respectability dead at 64. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/kurt-thomas-first-us-man-win-world-gym-000151705--spt.html
AAhh I loved that guy. Best line in Alien is his line, "I won't lie to you about your chances, but I do wish you luck."
