yeah he always struck me as one of those “bend the rules don’t break them” guys. I always respected him, never Brady. I’m sure Belichick doesn’t agree with the rules either, but he plays by them and will certainly use them to his competitive advantage if he can.
Washington selects Commanders as new NFL team name I think I preferred "Washington Football Team" as the team name. Also, am I the only one who thought of this when they announced the new name?
The fact that it took two years, and this is what they came up with says just about everything you need to know about this team.
That and the fact that they're showering their fans with raw sewage during the games. What a horrible organization. I still have trouble believing that Snyder basically pimped out the cheerleaders to his biggest dollar customers and faced absolutely no repercussions.
Alvin Kamara? I did not expect that. And, arrested at 6pm? So, Kamara beats up somebody late Friday night? And the person is in the hospital on Saturday saying who did it? And Kamara plays in the ProBowl on Sunday and later gets arrested? This is a weird story with a weird timeline. https://sports.yahoo.com/police-sai...egas-after-playing-in-pro-bowl-032517388.html
Denver and Seattle have agreed to a massive trade for Russell Wilson, pending on RW's physical and approval.
Seattle receives: QB Drew Lock, TE Noah Fant, DL Shelby Harris, two first-round picks, two second-round picks and a fifth-round pick Denver receives: QB Russell Wilson and a fourth-round pick Quite a haul for Seattle

Seahawks basically got back what they traded for jamal adams, two 2nd round picks, plus a backup QB, a not bad TE, and a pretty good DE. They're erasing their mistakes, Wilson clearly didn't want to play there anymore, the salary he wanted would have been an overpay imo, and so they took the only avenue open and decided to start the rebuild. That being said, I do not think they got a "haul." Give me jeudy or sutton, and another 1st and 2nd and then you have a haul, and a fair trade. Still, if there were no better offers, then good for them for getting what they could. Feel bad for packers fans. That team is royally fucked now with that contract. Shoulda traded rodgers for as much as they could have gotten, because they aren't doing anything with that salary on the books plus now adams on the franchise tag and possibly a long term contract later.
I think they got a pretty decent haul, considering the Broncos got a QB who is 33 years old, only under contract for 2 more years, and will probably command $45m/year. I don't think any team is throwing in another 1st. That said, the Seahawks are so much worse off in their rebuild because of that Jamal Adams trade. They essentially traded Wilson for strong safety who is paid more than any other safety, a backup QB, a middling TE, a DE who has never topped 6 sacks, and a couple of 2nds. Without the Adams trade, they're sitting pretty on their rebuild with 4 first round picks and $15m/year that's not tied up in a fucking safety whose primary skill is blitzing. The Jets absolutely fleeced them.
